I'm just posting because Frank's going to end up sweeping this and I want to be winner-adjacent
Good!
I'm fine with Frank winning it
It's really nice to hear you say that, but I already withdrew from eligibility to win the free server. I just want to have some fun posting memes. So ....
We can win it together and donate it to FreeVPS.org
Best TV show ever. At least the first 5 or 6 seasons...
Today's to-do:
Catch up on tickets. Our response time is slow, sorry. Trust me, if it's mission critical I get woken up immediately between the SMS, Slack, email alerts or people pinging me on Signal. Just because it may take a day or three for me to get back to a non-critical sales ticket or something doesn't mean we don't have a ton of automation in place to alert me of things that properly require my attention now.
Work on the IncogDNS offering a bit more. (Details below)
We sell more domain names right now than anything else and it's annoying not having a proper DNS system setup in place for new domains. Customers have to either use 3rd party DNS like Cloudflare, HE, CloudNS, etc or we create a stripped down DA account for them so they can use the DNS manager within. It's a band-aid fix at best, it's a manual process to create, and it justs adds to the perceived support load by adding more non-critical tickets to the queue.
So, "SOON", will just auto generate zones when a domain is ordered and users can manage their DNS straight from WHMCS. Will have some paid DNS options down the line, but the free DNS will suffice for most and for casual use.
Anyhow, music to get the day started:
