Third blade chassis arrived today. (Yea yea yea, it's not Google level cable management.)
Anyway, the last two nights have had an outside consultant review things with our network guy, he's coming back tonight to check things over again.
I'm not a network guy. I don't pretend to be a network guy. I don't want to be a network guy, I got my own stuff to focus on. So if you tell me you're a network guy and speak with confidence I tend to just believe you. What they both agree on is there is a slight issue within PXEing the blades currently. Requests are received by the software (TenantOS), responded to with a DHCP OFFER, but the machine is not replying with the request, and if it does, the software is not accepting (DHCP ACK) it. We are working to resolve this with TenantOS, and our team.
And here I was thinking you just tossed stuff in a rack, cable em up, and let'em rip. /s
EDIT: As always, those who pre-paid for the promo, let me know if you want a refund. Will be hassle free. I completely understand if you want one, I'd want one too if the roles were reversed.
We've resolved the issue of the DHCP packets being sent into the void ( @crunchbits pimped out one of his network techs to us for some outside consulting, thanks! ) . Getting things setup and tested now for auto-provisioning and running a few different scenarios.
Very happy we only accepted 8 pre-orders and one giveaway (OGF never responded to my request to do a giveaway there). Would have been much more stressful if we allowed pre-orders on all the blades.
It's possible, but not likely, that our KCIX port will go live today. If not today, I'd expect it early next week.
I've added a note to review pre-orders payment types to see if any of you ordered with PayPal and subscribed. We offer PayPal as one-time payments and PayPal as subscription, two different checkout options. If you subscribed, then you will be charged automatically based on your order date. We have nothing to do with that as we didn't create that link for you. Go ahead and cancel your subscription if you created one or trust that it's on my to-do list for today and that I'll get to it later tonight or tomorrow.

Sorry, network performance has been a bit shit the last few days. Working with our network guy and waiting on him to correct, since it's not a congestion issue.

Thanks so much I recently noticed issues and assumed it was due to the port connection we were waiting on I'm actually fairly happy to hear its something else

Thanks for being transparent.
Kansas City has been a trainwreck so far.
We're (still) waiting on additional transit we ordered over a month ago. Still waiting on KCIX access, (We "have" it, but we "don't"), still waiting on a bunch of stuff. Progress moves at a snail's pace and all I can do is ask for updates daily and pretend to be patient.
It's just completely embarrassing, and so far and well below the quality of service we offer anywhere else by a large margin.
I have no ETA on when things will improve. Currently just offering refunds as credit for those interested.

Yeah. I've noticed that network performance hasn't been too great lately. I'm sure you saw my ticket about it. I was contemplating just canceling my service but I don't wanna cancel only to lose my spot on this amazing deal.
It's unfortunate when things are out of your control. I am curious about what you would've done differently given the current experience rolling out the KC location. Are these issues only for KC? How does it compare to other locations?
Speaking of other locations, I am interested in seeing if you would offer something similar to this 10gbps Blade Server but in another one of your locations.

Sorry to keep you waiting, complicated business.

No update yet on KCIX port. I'll bug them.
The blades were delivered over the weekend in any case.
Heres the YABS for mine @MannDude very happy with my blade I look forward to the KCIX going live.
KCIX will be live 'soon'.
We're listed as a participant now: https://kcix.net/participants.php?sort=name and received our membership info / BGP details.
Absolute legends like always. KCIX is great.
Any news on the port @MannDude ?
Nope. Still waiting.
Thanks for the update !
@MannDude KC VPS when?
Perhaps by the end of the year. We'll see.

Some random pointless bump
