do you mean automated plagiarism a la "3 million accounts/members"?
You can clearly see, with the exception of the Travel site & the "Host for Sale" I never found, that these are hobby projects done for fun instead of business.
Most members, especially those with multiple websites, have fun hobby-projects. The more talented, like Jar & Sunny, have more hobby-project websites than I.
How much is the Assosciated Press subscription?
It depends on the size of your market and the number of your readers (or if you have many subscribers from your newsroom). You call them and negotiate a price. For a one-man-show in a small town you can negotiate them down to close to $150/month for text but no photos or graphics. You can buy photo subscriptions cheaper from other companies. The AP has different pricing if you want to use their content in print only as opposed to online.
Like life in general, better negotiators will get better deals. For big newspapers, in large cities, the AP is very expensive. Reuters is cheaper than the Associated Press for most news organizations, big or small, but the lack of coverage in state government means most newspapers in the United States are members of the Associated Press. Reuters doesn't have coverage of United States sports while the AP does. Reuters is better for international news with more reporters overseas.
You are doing it wrong.
AI creates a lot of duplicate content, so you need to check all of the text to avoid copyright infringements.
You would be better off using the canonical tag correctly* and posting the original article as you have paid for because Google treats rewritten articles as bad as duplicate content that isn't handled correctly**.
(You are already telling Google it's a rewrite when you give the source and don't add anything to the article)
Anyway, you are never going to beat the big website's rankings on those articles, so your focus should be on your original content.
*The tag should link to the original article.
**You can get away with more in some languages that Google doesn't prioritize, but when the algorithm for that language catches up, you are going to get hit by a big ranking drop that often affects all articles on the website.
This is a bad suggestion. Use canonical tag instead.
Thank you 😊
Anyway, have you considered quillbot?
Yes, it was the 1st program I considered, unfortunately it doesn’t have any Wordpress integration which means you will have to paste it manually imto your website once processed by QuillBot.
QuillBot is good for what it's intended for if you don't mind copy and pasting every news story into the online browser dashboard of QuillBot, and then copy and pasting it again into WordPress.
But if you're using WordPress like me, you can skip two manual copies by using the programs with built in WordPress plugins so they process the article re-write inside of WordPress like GetGenie and to a lesser degree, Writesonic. There are likely more and better AI's that have a WordPress plugin.
Ok. You might have better luck finding such a solution in BHW forums. I see people selling such stuff often there.

I guess this journalist isn't going to tell us which news outlet or newspaper he writes for.
Don't feed the animals.
They're completely different things.
Great advice! Question is now posted at BHW Forums & one suggested that all the above mentioned programs are trash except

seems expensive why not use gpt-4 api
I know the guy that runs:
https://www.jasper.ai
Formally named Jarvis, until Marvel threatened to sue him when it started gaining traction. It was actually one of the first AI content generators on the market.
It's made by a copywriter, not an engineer. The focus is on making variance/tone/personality bleed through that a lot of the AI content writers lack, but... it's still AI.
Asking BHW Forums how you can rip and spin AP news feeds to get clicks is the mark of a serious journalist.
I mean, that's pretty much what they teach you in Journalism 101 at Columbia, right?
I think it's more current-gen LLM than some of the earlier thesaurus-substitution systems like SpinRewriter, etc...?
In 3 different reviews, Jasper.ai is rated at the top of the AI re-writers. Pricing for the Creator package is $39/month.
"Freelancers, Marketers, and entrepreneurs who are ready to apply Generative AI to automate their daily work in their personalized Brand Voice."
Well, at least he'd be far from the only one. Journalism is a dying art. Marketing departments have pretty much taken it over.
I mean, how many times do reputable tech news sites cross my feed with articles like "Everything we know about the new iPhone" and the article is just "Nothing, but here's what we can guess based on previous years." It's pretty much all relatively similar trash these days. The word "reportedly" is an indicator of the death of the craft, just follow the word around and realize that the intellectual criteria for being able to say the word in a headline is virtually zero.
Even the largest news outlets in the world often take from AP and restate their stories with less talent than you'd expect of an unpaid intern, they're probably all using AI for it already. Can't be worse than their staff.
If your news comes from Google, then yes.
But there are some niches where it survives. There's lots of quality journalism done in sports reporting, for example - reporters who follow teams, track down stories, pounce on rumors, etc. I can name a number of really good sports writers/reporters off the top of my head...none for politics.
I never cared for Vice but some of that type of journalism is honest - go and risk your neck interviewing the Taliban. But that's .01% of political journalism. The rest is either regurgitated talking points, generic news wire republishing, or 20-year-olds thinking that they are exposing something.
Even at the local level, journalism sucks - maybe even more so. One unflattering story and your local reporter loses all access to city hall insiders. Portland, Oregon had TWO pedophile mayors who our main newspaper never exposed...took a scrappy upcomer and out-of-town media to get to the story.
"I've never met a journalist who didn't piss his pants when you say the word, just out of sheer guilt about his profession." - Hunter S. Thompson
@Offshore_Solutions, please DO NOT link BHW directly from LET. Read the rules. LET is 'white hat'.
Sorry Arkas 😞
I honestly didn't realize there was a rule to not link "black hat" forums but now i know & it will never happen again.
What is the difference between "black hat" & "white hat?"
In other words, does LET only encourage legal methods of website promotion while BHW Forums accepts breaking the rules?
Yes. Anything remotely illegal is not permitted.
Thanks
