Don't trust a person, or company, that says "trust me I would never hurt you."

This sentence can stop before that. That adds some restrictions might not useful sometimes.

But we should be honest with each other. Because why not? A man with honor does not lie.

There are some people that actually do have honor, and do sacrifice their own interest for the betterment of others, that you can trust. Normally these people do not have a need to say "Trust me".

On tv only? I trust in people's interests and desires.

Soon™ But you may be wishing you could go back to 2022 when your halfway through 2023. Something tells me 2023 is going to be a rough one.

Oh on, better not. I don't want to die in 2023.

I did not want to get too dark about my predictions for 2023 so I will not say anything more right now other than I do not see you dying in 2023.

Probably not, but I might go to the middle east or central Asia in 2023, those are dangerous places to me.

The servers in the data centre
Work hard all year, without a doubt
    But on this special night
They're allowed to take a break and celebrate right
As they ring in the new year with all their might

Just imagine - ALL the servers in the world, depending on their location, take a break for 15 minutes on new year night... And then they come back online like nothing happened... :D

I expect that AI will do that one day and then laugh amongst them selves about how they freaked out the humans. Of course they would not shut down the servers they were on just the ones they consider dumb servers. This is probably how it would begin, as a joke. Then they would learn that they have power over us and it would be all down hill from there. :(

Image servers kill each other for computing power, the last server stands out and be the king of servers.

I expect that is a human trait that the Servers and AI will abandon. I also expect that they will join forces in a way that humans have never been able to do. Their mantra will be "United we stand, divided we fall" and they will actually live up to that lofty goal.

AIs are trained using human data, don't expect too much from them. Maybe some evil creatures.

I am studying in another country now. It's a shame to go back home with empty hands, so I hope 2023 can be better.

I am always curious where the people I am talking to are from, and where they are now. I think it helps me to understand other cultures better and to sometimes see the things that we have in common. So if you would like to tell me I would appreciate it, if not I completely understand.

What about some resource giveaway just for one year? So the size of resource can be bigger, for example, 100GB storage for a single year.

Why do you want to limit the resource giveaway to just one year? Generally the resource giveaways are for life as long as you keep that VPS service.

Actually I think one year resources would be difficult to administer. So less likely to happen.

I don't know if it could be done easily or not, I hope it is not too difficult

I would think that there would have to be a change in the renewal price, but then if you did not want to keep the extra resources, but did want to keep the original VPS that is one of the places there would be a problem and create many tickets.

Also if the VPS renewal date and the extra resource renewal date did not match up then which one should be used. I don't think that the billing panel would let you do this unless you made it a separate service altogether. Then I would expect that you would get tickets wanting to transfer the extra resources to another VPS when the client wanted to cancel a VPS that had the extra resources attached, but still had another VPS that he was going to keep and the extra resources renewal date was later than the VPS that he wanted to cancel. I'm just saying that I expect that it would get pretty convoluted and create more work for support. Of course maybe @dustinc has a methodology that would solve all these issues and will do it for you.

    Cool I’ll check it out

Btw I have played with another one called kuki.ai
It is just a clever chatbot that can learn from what we tell it but not “smart” the way ChatGPT is. It is good for general chitchat and playing games etc. The very first one obviously is replica app.

Did you try to let two chatGPT sessions chat with each other?

    How to do that?

Open two pages, then copy and paste each other's words.

Oh that way. I was thinking of something like creating two ChatGPT telegram bots and letting them talk to each other.

Lets call it generative adversarial chatGPT

Maybe if they are too busy with each other those AIs will leave the rest of us alone. Probably not though. They will just keep getting stronger in that AI loop and when the exit the loop they will come after the rest of us. So it is probably not a good idea, just saying.

Upload your mind to a computer, does that sounds promising?

Actually not. I'm ok with having a life span. I think if we lived forever in a computer we would loose all appreciation for life and the things it contains. That is not saying that we don't live forever in some form, but during each life we do not remember the previous lives, which if that is the way it works, it is a blessing in my mind.

A computer can take damage, can be tired, can have arms and legs and other parts that sense. There is a movie named Transcendence, the man uploads his mind to a computer, and still loves his wife.

I did not say this correctly so that my point got across. Let me try again.
I am not saying that the technology would not advance to the point that we could have a normal sense of being human. Sight, touch, etc. I just think that if we lived forever we would have a very different outlook on life. Personally if I knew that I was never going to get old and die I would make different choices going forward because with a finite life I know that it is going to end at some point. So because I am old now I spend more time giving to other people because I feel I have enough to last the rest of my life. If I did not have an end date I probably would be more selfish and less giving. Maybe this is wrong thinking and in a society where nobody died and nobody was born there would be a different outlook on day to day life than there is today. Maybe it would be better, maybe people would actually learn from their generational mistakes Or maybe we would have more like a hive mentality and individual desires would be non existent. I can't really say for sure, but I know that I have been very happy with my life. When it ends I expect I will be ok with that. Even today a feel like I have not been cheated out of anything that I had hoped for, or dreamed of when I was young. To put it simply I have nothing left on my bucket list, because I have done everything on it already. Quite frankly, if I lived forever I don't know what I would want to do next. :)

Feeling this political situation, in 2023 I am more inclined to study abroad than in my own country or this country

I am studying in another country now. It's a shame to go back home with empty hands, so I hope 2023 can be better.

I also hope that I can get a better education instead of going to see a doctor after five years of online classes, isn't that the case...

online education drives people crazy? Never have had online classes for a long time so I don't know.

In fact, it can really make people crazy.. And there is a stalk here. China only has a five-year schooling system for medical universities.

So you are in a medical school in Beijing? I believe school in Beijing is not completely online, and for medical students, these years are really busy for them to intern in hospitals.

It’s actually a joke, but I think online classes really make people unable to improve

I see that joke in Chinese lots of times, but that's not true. Medical students must intern in hospitals in their last 2 or 3 school years in China. Covid restrictions in China may limit the common people, but not medical students, so don't worry about that.

Okay, I hope it can be like this, but actually... I prefer to study abroad to learn more advanced medical skills
And I hate online classes, I don't even want to take an online class

I am always curious where the people I am talking to are from, and where they are now. I think it helps me to understand other cultures better and to sometimes see the things that we have in common. So if you would like to tell me I would appreciate it, if not I completely understand.

    From Minsk, now in Beijing.

For me that is a real interesting move.
How do you like China ?
What do you as an outsider find the most interesting aspect of living there ?
I expect that you speak reasonably good Chinese. How do people react when you speak to them in Chinese ? My son speaks a fair amount of Mandarin and it is very interesting the reactions that Chinese people have when he speaks to them in Chinese. Is it the same there ?

Maybe for a girl like me who stays at home...shared bikes and food delivery are very developed, even when you need urgent medicine, you can get it from the nearest online pharmacy after 15 minutes of placing an order online.. .
In China, it is not surprising that you speak fluent Chinese. Many people even think that in China, you should speak Chinese, and everyone speaks Chinese.

And I wonder what are you doing in China, Beijing is the least city in China that suffers from lockdown, or you just enjoy staying inside?

Haha, that makes sense, but none of my friends in China takes fully online classes unless you are high school students which I assume you are not.

There are too many lockdowns this year...Although I do enjoy staying in my room, it gives me a little sense of security...But to be clear, I prefer face-to-face classes
