On tv only? I trust in people's interests and desires.
Probably not, but I might go to the middle east or central Asia in 2023, those are dangerous places to me.
AIs are trained using human data, don't expect too much from them. Maybe some evil creatures.
Hey @dustinc, could you please double my bandwidth?
My invoice number is 5250328.
Thanks
For me that is a real interesting move.
How do you like China ?
What do you as an outsider find the most interesting aspect of living there ?
I expect that you speak reasonably good Chinese. How do people react when you speak to them in Chinese ? My son speaks a fair amount of Mandarin and it is very interesting the reactions that Chinese people have when he speaks to them in Chinese. Is it the same there ?
I have not checked it out as of yet, but I will soon and respond to your questions afterward.
I would think that there would have to be a change in the renewal price, but then if you did not want to keep the extra resources, but did want to keep the original VPS that is one of the places there would be a problem and create many tickets.
Also if the VPS renewal date and the extra resource renewal date did not match up then which one should be used. I don't think that the billing panel would let you do this unless you made it a separate service altogether. Then I would expect that you would get tickets wanting to transfer the extra resources to another VPS when the client wanted to cancel a VPS that had the extra resources attached, but still had another VPS that he was going to keep and the extra resources renewal date was later than the VPS that he wanted to cancel. I'm just saying that I expect that it would get pretty convoluted and create more work for support. Of course maybe @dustinc has a methodology that would solve all these issues and will do it for you.
That's a lot of work, I didn't expect it indeed> @FrankZ said:
It sounds complicated.
I did not say this correctly so that my point got across. Let me try again.
I am not saying that the technology would not advance to the point that we could have a normal sense of being human. Sight, touch, etc. I just think that if we lived forever we would have a very different outlook on life. Personally if I knew that I was never going to get old and die I would make different choices going forward because with a finite life I know that it is going to end at some point. So because I am old now I spend more time giving to other people because I feel I have enough to last the rest of my life. If I did not have an end date I probably would be more selfish and less giving. Maybe this is wrong thinking and in a society where nobody died and nobody was born there would be a different outlook on day to day life than there is today. Maybe it would be better, maybe people would actually learn from their generational mistakes Or maybe we would have more like a hive mentality and individual desires would be non existent. I can't really say for sure, but I know that I have been very happy with my life. When it ends I expect I will be ok with that. Even today a feel like I have not been cheated out of anything that I had hoped for, or dreamed of when I was young. To put it simply I have nothing left on my bucket list, because I have done everything on it already. Quite frankly, if I lived forever I don't know what I would want to do next.
I am sorry that you have not meet anyone like this yet. I have been lucky enough to have meet a few people like this in my life. They have had great influence on my concepts of right and wrong, love and sacrifice. I have always seen them as a servants of the best parts of us humans. These selfless people were not stupid, on the contrary, they just had the ability to make their own opportunities to get ahead in life instead of taking opportunities from others. IMO these people saw life in a way that is more win, win than I win you lose. This is just how I have seen it, your mileage may differ.
Thanks for the long essay, now I get your point. Difficult for me to truly understand because I have so many things on my list. But I hope I can think the same when I am old(if I can live to that day). But now, I do want to live longer.
I've been in what people would call "dangerous places" many times. You have the choice to be afraid or excited about going there. I almost always chose to be excited, and then if the shit hit the fan, I adapted into being scared. Otherwise I just stayed excited to be there.
The disclaimer to the above is yes, sometimes really bad things happened to me in dangerous places, but none of them killed me so I have some great stories to tell because I went there. Probably the worse thing that happened to me physically was in a nightclub in a tourist area, in a place that nobody would have said was dangerous at the time.
Maybe I had met people like that before, I just didn't realize that. I prefer dealing with people with desires, they are reasonable people, and you can predict their next move if you understand what they want. They are very good friends if you share some interests. And it's really good to have partners fight with you.
People without personal desires might difficult to understand.
I also hope that you have a long and fulfilling life. Because in my view life really is a journey and it really sucks when people are not able to get to their personal destinations because some dickhead runs them off the road half way there.
Will you tell your story to us? Sounds fascinating.
I get it and expect that is a more common view point than mine. We all walk our own path and yours is just as good as mine if we both get to the destination we want.
In fact, it can really make people crazy.. And there is a stalk here. China only has a five-year schooling system for medical universities.
Maybe for a girl like me who stays at home...shared bikes and food delivery are very developed, even when you need urgent medicine, you can get it from the nearest online pharmacy after 15 minutes of placing an order online.. .
In China, it is not surprising that you speak fluent Chinese. Many people even think that in China, you should speak Chinese, and everyone speaks Chinese.
fine...I think I posted it twice
So you are in a medical school in Beijing? I believe school in Beijing is not completely online, and for medical students, these years are really busy for them to intern in hospitals.
It’s actually a joke, but I think online classes really make people unable to improve
I see that joke in Chinese lots of times, but that's not true. Medical students must intern in hospitals in their last 2 or 3 school years in China. Covid restrictions in China may limit the common people, but not medical students, so don't worry about that.
Okay, I hope it can be like this, but actually... I prefer to study abroad to learn more advanced medical skills
And I hate online classes, I don't even want to take an online class
And I wonder what are you doing in China, Beijing is the least city in China that suffers from lockdown, or you just enjoy staying inside?
Haha, that makes sense, but none of my friends in China takes fully online classes unless you are high school students which I assume you are not.
There are too many lockdowns this year...Although I do enjoy staying in my room, it gives me a little sense of security...But to be clear, I prefer face-to-face classes
Wew how many giveaways did I miss ?
10 If I am not wrong.
Oh sorry, 0 it is
