LET LOOP
I was under the impression that BF/CM threads were not included. If I am wrong, then mods/admins, please delete and accept my apology. and I will see you next year
Loophole, it's the same sale and just letting people know it's still available.
Was there an original sale thread to bump instead? No? Then this is fine.
Unless I'm mistaken, strictly speaking, only @FAT32 's mega thread was exceptional, where any Host Rep or Patron Provider could post as many offers as they wanted. Outside of the mega thread, the regular rules applied
That said, I suspect that there were some Patron Providers who started more than one offer thread on or around BF/CM and we simply didn't notice due to the excitement of BF/CM and of the mega thread in particular
Given that this thread is simply a statement that the provider's main BF/CM promotion has been extended in time, I personally would be inclined to let this thread (exceptionally) continue, especially since we're all still in the post-BF/CM spirit
(Unless, of course, a mod or admin overrules me!)
There may have been an original sale thread to bump instead, but (as I said above) since this thread merely extends the original sale, I would let it continue
You da best @InceptionHosting, very stable service. I have VPS running for 300+ days on UK and EU nodes
Hypothetically, a provider starts a sale that they do not intend to ever stop, and posts a new thread every 7 days stating the sale has been extended for another 7 days, would it be allowed?
Most of these YABS in Amsterdam appear to be connected to 10G. Does anyone know if London is the same? I know it's advertised as 1G and no refunds so don't want to risk it
London is 1Gbit
Its a new thread, a new sale, the same offer, not hiding that I just don't think BF/CM sales threads count In the total because they never have or used too.
Like I said, if that's changed, accept my apologies, and I will see you next year, as it has not been removed I have to assume I am correct.
In practice, this has never really happened, but hypothetically, we would probably not say anything the first couple of times, but if the practice became systematic, we would say something
A similar situation occurred in the past and the provider received severe warning.

Of course that provider has many violations over several months, so it's much worse than this.
well its not like OP did this on purpose, and this is obviously a sincerely priced deal.
What will be will be, I cannot delete it myself.
Also, your affiliate links should be marked as affiliate links not (paid) and individually, CALL THE POLICE! (I made that rule so I know this to be true ) (not that anyone cares)
Indeed, @yoursunny , since you're a guy that pays attention to detail, instead of
you should have
As far as I recall, that situation was very different: if that provider had simply bumped an offer thread a couple of times to say that the offer had been extended, it wouldn't have been a big deal
Instead, that provider was repeatedly creating new offer threads without respecting the 10-day rule, which ended only after a severe warning
anyway all that said @angstrom I realise I read the thing about it not counting towards normal posting schedules was on OGF, what can I say I am getting old I miss details from time to time now
I know in the past here BF/CM treads were not counted towards regular posting schedules, but I don't actually find anything here that suggests that was the case this year so it's a fair cop and a complete accident.
Please close/delete or do what you will with the thread, I genuinely don't mind, and people are getting things stuck in uncomfortable places about it.
I'm assuming you wouldn't be able to upgrade these plans in the future (eg 2 -> 3gb) while keeping the yearly discount?
