Introducing Hong Kong storage - discount available for 48 hours

Hong Kong is our first APAC location where we are introducing storage VMs. We plan to deploy them in Singapore and Sydney in the near future as well.

There are three promotional plans available.

1 CPU core
1 TB storage
0.5 GB RAM
1 TB bandwidth
$35 per year, $60 per two years (doubled RAM + 500GB bandwidth for two year payments)
1 CPU core
2 TB storage
1 GB RAM
2 TB bandwidth
$60 per year, $100 per two years (doubled RAM + 500GB bandwidth for two year payments)
1 CPU core
3 TB storage
1.5 GB RAM
3 TB bandwidth
$90 per year, $160 per two years (doubled RAM + 500GB bandwidth for two year payments)

To order, login to cloud.hosthatch.com/deploy > choose Hong Kong, choose Storage VMs and create server. These plans will no longer be available after 13th November.

Is IPv6 available?

Routed /64 per VM is available and can be enabled from the control panel. In some locations, it is not available, as we are unable to maintain reliability of IPv6 in these places. Please see https://docs.hosthatch.com/features/

Are there any other differences between our normal and discounted plans?

Yes, primarily our support. It can take several days to resolve certain issues, especially issues that require complex investigation. Please choose one of the services from hosthatch.com directly for production usage, with access to our normal support queue. Our promotional services are provided at near-cost pricing to fill up excess capacity.

There is no difference in the quality of the servers itself - as we use the same backend, enterprise hardware and excellent monitoring for all of our services.

What networks and datacenters do you use?

Please view https://docs.hosthatch.com/features/

For Hong Kong, we are multi-homed with two top tier networks. It's not Cogent/HE bandwidth, and hence is far more premium (and expensive).

Will these special plans be available again?

We have limited capacity available, and it is highly unlikely that these will be made available again. We sell out most of our capacity at our normal pricing and promotions are once an year thing for us. There will be other locations available on Black Friday, but at no point do we plan to sell servers in Hong Kong priced lower than these offers. There will also not be any smaller plans, as we want to maintain the quality of the service.

    Congratulations!

Storage VMs in HK are pretty rare - don't know if there's even any out there

But I'm so waiting for 🇸🇬

  • zzzz till Sydney

  • I think it was Black Friday so early when i saw HostHatch offer

    :D :D

  • Singapore and Sydney storage vps. Nice.

  • Phantom is back :+1:
    (as always with something awesome)

    Thanked by 1ehab

Question: Do u have in plan in near future Epyc compute instances in these location also? (HK, SNG & Sydney)
(Yes NFS intended with these strgs)

    Thanks for the answer

  • Looking forward to Syd!

  • Congratulations! Looking forward to SGP storage plans!

  • I would suggest higher bandwidth vs storage supplied. Bandwidth is in+out and very easy to run into bandwidth limits.

Years ago, I had a 150GB VPS with 600GB BW and would go over the limit often as well as tried to keep bandwidth down.

  • And YABS?

  • May I add some more cpu cores?

  • My Storage in Stockholm is pretty good <3
    Waiting for SGP storage package!

Nice offer. Didn't expect Storage offer in HK.

  • :)
Looks like a golden opportunity to get more storage for uploading better content on MaleHeaven

  • good to see @hosthatch offer after long time

  • Loooooooooong time no see @hosthatch :)

  • I'll definitely look forward to your BFD offers. Storage VPSs in the HK location is super niche indeed. Good luck with your sale.

  • Isnt the storage vm is S3 compliance?

  • $100 per two years (doubled RAM + 500GB bandwidth for two year payments)? 1TB extra bandwidth please!

  • It keeps showing this after payment, the server is not working:
This server is in a pending state and may be awaiting its invoice to be paid for or is still being built.

At a guess, I think it's because your order is pending

What is unclear here? You want an instant deployment?

How long does it take if it's normal? I was under the impression that the VPS I purchased was deployed in a few minutes.

No, it's been several hours since the payment was made and I don't know what went wrong.

Here's the low-end vps market. Maybe takes a few hours.

Hosthatch's promotional VM deliveries usually take several days.
