To be honest, whatever I said about Leifur & Kjartan, let's remember that it was managed miles better than the Kuxo management, this is so bad I first though they were joking about blaming everything on each other publicy.
Not to defend Leifur & Kjartan, that whole situation was a meltdown too.
But the way that Leifur & Kjartan left KUBBUR seems resonable comparing to the way Ellis & Jack handels Kuxo - and that's just crazy.
Seriously, is this a fun or Drama thread?
I keep browsing here and laughing.
We should call netflix to make a movie called "Kuxo".
Basically 14 year olds running a hosting company. Would be fun i think
They'd get into legal trouble.
Let's call it "Cuck-so".
Everyone. They’re all a bunch of moronic clowns who need a spanking. Perpetual liars, fraudsters.
The 10 Hour CEO: Kubbur Edition
When we prepare the Script for this movie?
I can already imagine from their pictures Meeting after School with their bicycles to bespeak their next big move
And i want a scene with them Meeting purple Daddy in the USA to buy him out lol
It would be Crazy
Yes!
LowEndWriters!!
Never mind that, he's really the CEO of Kubbur? He looks like he still has 3 or 4 years of school left before starting University!
Funniest is though that his only experience is "advising" Kubbur and Scaleblade.
I reckon he's just one of their dads.
And the advice was probably "don't".
why are kids running the show?
It very well could be due to how names seem to work in Iceland
From https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icelandic_name

So, when the guy was going on the other day* how because he gets the servers for cheap because "nobody pays full price" and how he could still make money if he sold for $1 per GB with unlimited bandwidth... I wonder if Scaleblade know that they're possibly providing the machines!
[*] I think that was in the very long and interesting rant that quickly got replaced with a one-liner.
Another one

Yes exactly. My host profits more than kubbur. Kubbur wasn't profitable with their pricing and the expenses they had. When I took over the branding I told one of Path's Staff I'm not using Path
So... girls also get the -son last name? That's fucked up and needs a 21st century update.
Girls get the "-dóttir" suffix. As for 21st century updates there's also the "-bur" suffix, for those who don't identify with the binary gender system (e.g. non-binary individuals).
The refutation to your claim was literally in the only highlighted sentence in the original image.
Yeah, lets cancel Iceland! Their naming system sucks and isn't fit!
Fuck off.
so that's how kubbur came out?
kub-bur
The idea that they named their company after a non-binary baby bear is pretty funny, even if not true!
Type of Computer: Mobile
I quite like that alternative origin story
. I hadn't thought of that!
But actually, the word translates to "cube" in Icelandic (or "block" is maybe more specific/appropriate) and it was chosen because KUBBUR was originally a Minecraft hosting company.
aaaaaaand it's gone dead!
Thank you to anyone contributing to the drama.
accidentally googled KUB and got this...

Damn nice drama any host which is Reselling someone is going to end one day lmao
that's not really true. Actually many hosts still resell and profit like crazy, Kubbur shut down not because of reselling but because of the crazy cost of owning their hardware.
He probably have gotten kicked from tempest/path and not saying that in public he just got kicked cause that's what path network aka tempest hosting do to their customer just saying.
lol.
They ran out of funds to pay for bills. Anyone would kick you out. Also, they were colocating not "reselling". I think someone here said he sold kubbur a cabinet and someone said they were waiting on hardware to arrive which never came. I think what happened is they got an entire cabinet but barely filled it up and couldn't make enough revenue to cover their costs.
