/mnt/etc/resolv.conf should have been your original resolv.conf

Please make a /mnt/etc/resolv.conf file with the following entrys and then try to continue the above.

    nameserver 8.8.8.8
    nameserver 1.1.1.1

@s12321 said: default via default via 149.57.138.1 dev ens3 onlink
149.57.137.0/24 dev ens3 Proto kernel scope link src 149.57.137.(hidden)

Well we tried, unfortunately this did not work out. :(
I guess after the last few months of doing the easier stuff only the real problems are left.

resolv.conf is already present in that folder and has those nameservers in them.

Any idea what might be going on here and how to fix it?

Can you please skip that step and try chroot /mnt /bin/bash and see if you still get errors?

    Here is what I get:

    rescue # chroot /mnt /bin/bash
chroot: failed to run command ‘/bin/bash’: No such file or directory

Unfortunately bash is not where I think it is in your system so I have continued the conversation in PM giving you direction on how to find where it is and correct this.

  • PHXZ003 is off again.

I may have broken my vps on PHXZ004 when I was operating from CP to install TinyCoreLinux...

Hi @haynhat that graph is not from Whmcs it is from a home grown monitoring panel. I was just showing foitin the before and after for when I though VirMach fixed the networking for the Tokyo storage node.

Do you plan on releasing this? It looks fantastic!

@Virmach Shared-1 fall down some days ago and still not working. I can not login to cPanel ("Action Failed Unable to auto-login. Please contact support.") or do anything with this service. I can not take backups or connect to FTP. If you are moved shared hosting to another server plz tell me new IP and new credentials.

We had to move it, most the downtime was from an unrelated issue before the migration. I'm still finalizing it but doing a lot of things so I haven't completed it. I was going to send out emails yesterday and now it's today.

It's not offline, it's struggling because network hasn't been updated for that location yet. That one we don't have our own switch either, it's going to take longer.

There's backlog of requests for like a week now. It seems like once I'm done with all this I need to just travel between all the locations permanently to maintain them.

  • PHXZ004 The network is interrupted, I can reinstall the system to connect VNC, but the network is not connected.

  • Tokyo storage is dead again, lose connection, quiet unstable since deployed. I noticed it's happened serval times, please check it,

  • @VirMach

Please give me a working IP. After a forced migration (RYZE.PHX-Z002.VMS), VDS was launched only two weeks later. But they gave me someone else's IP address! The IP is actively being used by someone else on the network. And now even in arp it showed no mac gateway (incomplete) and does not see neighboring stations. Looks like my host got banned. From the outside world, the IP of another duplicate host pings perfectly. Instead of processing my ticket and giving me another IP, it looks like they just banned me. Thank you very much friends. Finally solve the issue. Ticket #424283.

Did you try to unmount any iso you might have? as that is one of the issues

Yes, I already unmount any ISO. I double checked from SolusVM.
Try to boot from SolusVM as well, but the state remain OFFLINE.

In SolusVM, my node shown as : RYZE.AMS-D026.VMS

Did you try to vnc even if it says offline? One of my VMs shows as offline but is actually booted up and works for past 2 weeks

Yep, the VNC keep showing "authentication failed". No improvement until today... :'(

Just wanted to say thanks VirMach. Still grateful for the service you provide and am hopeful that all issues will be resolved eventually!

    [ 5] 0.00-10.00 sec 10.3 MBytes 8.64 Mbits/sec receiver

Same as me. The upload speed is limited to 50Mbps.

  • @k2775739 said: Same as me. The upload speed is limited to 50Mbps.

I couldn't reproduce that on tyoz027. I'm getting at least 10MiB/s+ with wget (single thread) from multiple locations. Could anything that you were running make virmach's script think you were abusing the network? (I'm not judging or assuming anything, just comming up with some possibilites.)
And if iperf3 is running on windows as a client, the results can be way lower than it should be when ping goes a little bit high.

I heard that in the past you could transfer by opening a ticket, but I am not sure if transfers are still allowed. In any case, VirMach has many many tickets right now, so transfers will take time. Also, technically you could probably change the owner of the server by changing the email address, but I think that they would not allow you to do that.

Yeah, that's what I think too. Not as easy as GreenCloud and HostHatch.

  • I can't find any info on VirMach's transfer policy that isn't years old. Hopefully someone knows it, I'd be interested in picking up a special.
