@VirMach PHXZ004 Does the IP address of each node not work? It's been days.

@SeaScoot said: Should the interface be using ifcfg-eth0 or ifcfg-ens3

That would depend on what operating system you are using and if you installed from ISO or template. If your current system has ens3 as the primary network nic then "Reconfigure Networking" probably will not work for you. You will need to VNC in to your VM and change the IP, gateway, and netmask manually. Then reboot or restart networking.

The method used for changing the network config manually is o/s dependent, so if you need further assistance please let us know what o/s and version you are using.

@SeaScoot said: can anyone confirm good settings?

You can find the correct setting in the SolusVM panel for your VM under networking, then click the IPv4 address shown there.

    Thanks @FrankZ.

I'm using a Virtuozzo Linux 8 install that was working fine prior to Ryzen migration. I assumed that it should be using eth0, since that is what RHEL normally uses. I already did what you suggest and took my settings from the SolusVM panel. They actually matched with what was in ifcfg-eth0, but no go with networking.

@SeaScoot - yourifcfg-eth0 looks good. I don't know if you have already done this, but at this point I would do ip addr show to make sure my expected interface was eth0 , On Centos8 based systems it could also be ens3. Then just double check that the default route is there by doing a ip route show. If the interface matches and the default route is there please post the results of those so I can see if anything else looks off.

@VirMach - My VPS could not be connected to the Internet, I tried all methods to make it recover, I even changed the IP, but later I found that your network configuration was wrong, not mine, so I would like to ask if you can add the number of free IP replacement for me

  • Any news about NY pending storage?

my 2FA was forced, so i assumed the same for all accounts.

I was force migrated from CHIKVM10 to TPAZ003 today. Internet is broke on the new VM. It is Windows, and the network settings look correct. Is there any way to avoid the migration fee to something a little closer to where I was?

Old node (NY) is migrated to TPAZ node :'( Is there a plan to move back to the original area or a closer area?

  • Your work is very inefficient. So far, there has been no movement to move to Japan

I got the same just now. Pressed F5 refresh, and it showed the OTP box correctly and managed to log in now. So maybe try that as well and see if you're lucky?

  • I have spent 3$ to request to move to Tokyo ( migration ticket #679145 ), but seemed nothing happened.

I don't think you understand what inefficient means.

Inefficient = Moving a few $3 migration requests from random servers to Tokyo.
efficient = Moving an entire server to a new server.

You don't have to say anything for them? Slow, no service is the truth

  • If you can only accommodate 100 user transfers, you shouldn't let so many people upgrade, and then these people pay the money and wait endlessly

  • Their boss seems to like to be active in forums

Do not process the work order, transfer, or even the background error

  • @xiaobinbin
The boss, usually posts updates on this forum, during his tea breaks. Or when he needs to relax for a couple of minutes, during his 16+ hour work day.

While he slaves, to try and make everyone happy.
And to complete the mammoth task, of migrating tens of thousands of VM's to new expansion DC's.

Pretty impressive and nice of him to even use his resting break time to still try and help his customers with updates and answers here, don't you think?

And then still sells the services for incredibly low prices, to try and give you the most pleasure and value for money possible. :-)

You are welcome to cancel and/or ask for a refund, if you really can't wait.
Or you can be a bit more patient, and lots more polite, and reap the rewards. :-)

You know there is this amazing feature called "EDIT" and you don't need to post 3 posts one by one? It's a fucking amazing feature, I strongly suggest using it.

    Have you heard about edit?

Cheers mate, I heard edit works here.

300+ pages is kind of a lot to read through so forgive me if this has been covered already...

it looks like migrations are continuing. I have a few dozen of virmach VMs and am seeing a few come and go pretty regularly even some that have seemingly been migrated. I have to assume everything is in a state of uncertainty until this migration is more or less complete.

Is there an estimated date when we should expect things to settle down? I'm happy to just submit one ticket with any outstanding problems, but I'd like to have an idea of a date when we can expect the dust to be settling.

Realistically - two weeks before Black Friday... because later it will be blood bath again :D

Ryzen button is back up, you can back up data and use it to move back with a huge caveat, it might break everything for a very long time if it malfunctions. I'd recommend waiting until we have a better process in place for moving back to the original area, we'll definitely offer that to at least the people who were moved far away.

    Additional info on Ryzen button:

    • I've added more disclaimers.
    • With these disclaimers we definitely will absolutely not prioritize fixing your VM if it gets stuck so use at your own risk and only use it if you are essentially otherwise not going to use your VM in the existing location/state it is in.
    • Probably don't try to move to Tokyo, that's where most the malfunctions will occur due to extreme demand.

I had a response for you written up but just decided to delete it as it would create unnecessary speculation, expectation, and while I'm definitely not saying you yourself would do this there would be dozens of others who will quote & ridicule us if we miss the estimate. It's on my other computer, I'll private message it to you.

OK, since last talking with you I did run ip addr show and it showed ens3. I tried editing the ens3 file but that has not worked. Either its my lack of knowledge related to correct file syntax or the network is borked? Mi ip table is empty too.

Should I try "ip route add" or "route add"?

BTW I'm running CWP 0.9.81141 on top of Virtuozzo. Could lfd/csf cause any of this?
