Ticket Created #160203
@VirMach
I'm in the same situation as you and still haven't recovered.
same here on NYCB040
so uncomfortable
Which node are you on? I am in SJCZ004.
I've been offline for a few months, can I compensate for the time?
I'm fine, I just lost contact for a few days.
it's back up and working now.
SJCZ004 is not work.
Yes Status says online but the vps is not.
I tried using old and new IP. neither can be SSH into or ping reachable.
Is it that once ryzen-ed, must Reinstall OS and start from scratch?
No, old OS still can be used
Thanks @VirMach , mine's working now
I login via virmach VNC and can see my data intact even username.
however when i go ifconfig > the IP is still old non-ryzen IP (not the new ryzn IP reflected in the control panel) BUT i cannot ping both IPs.
any help? thanks
@VirMach
thanks for the reply.
I have seen some movement on my issue but still cant access VPS
The VPS is no longer locked.
It is listed as Offline . Node RYZE.TYO-C035.VMS
Both IP addresses are listed. The old one and the new one.
VNC access states 'access denied'. likely because VPS is unreachable
I have clicked 'Reconfigure Network' and it states it succeeded.
I have clicked 'Reboot' several times.
Troubleshooter states 'Your server's host node appears to be down'
thanks again
Think i found the problem?
I am inside Virmach VNC in my server and ping to google.com and 8.8.8.8 failed
traceroute 8.8.8.8 end after 1st hop.
means my vps is not able to access Internet yet?
If you provide your vnc info to a linux geek this sounds fixable . lol
probably supplying your os and release would help. and additionally if you were setup on dhcp.
Here is the link virmach provided on their status page for this issue. I did not read it to see how applicable it would be as I mentioned above there are variables you have not provided
https://devconnected.com/how-to-change-ip-address-on-linux/#:~:text=To change your IP address on Linux, use the “ifconfig, use the CIDR notation directly.
Try "Fix Internet/ Reconfigure Network" in the billing panel.
Or did you change the DHCP settings, default gateway settings, etc.?
Are we suppose to use the new assigned IP or the old non-ryzen one?
I can change the IP myself coz there is always the VNC to fall back to.
I just need confirmation to use new or old IP now.
Thanks for your guide.
I would think it is the new one as your node did change, right?. If you need more help maye you should open another thread on here and @ me and I will try to help
Die Angelegenheit ist geklärt und es ist kein Schaden entstanden. Bitte sorgen Sie dafür, dass alle Dienste so schnell wie möglich wieder normal funktionieren!
To remind us of the good times
@VirMach Operation Timed Out After 90001 Milliseconds With 0 Bytes Received
Control Panel User Is value658840.But I Can't Login.
Vielen Dank für Ihr Verständnis. Ihre Zufriedenheit ist uns wichtig. Ich möchte diesen Teppich nicht kaufen. Da wird das Hühnchen in der Pfanne verrückt!
Thank @jperkins - u solved for me.
maybe to aid others a little.
mine is ubuntu/debian 20.04 LTS
By then my ping (new ip) -t in windows cmd came ALIVE from "Request timed out"
yea his step 3 should have said change from his old ip to his new one. Somehow he got some dns entries in there. ??
additionally, in this case his device , ens3, did not change. I was half expecting that to change also.
he also stated that he did attempt 'reconfigure network' from the virmach control panel. If so it would leave me to believe that 'reconfigure network' does not work with netplan with a static ip. ymmv
hope fully my node will be up tomorrow.

It's been two weeks since these errors.never repaired.
please check my vps and vps node.
Please fix this VPS.
YABS of my 4 core 8GB Ryzen migrated server. I wonder why it says "busy" for all network tests? Is it because some issue with VirMach network or issue with testing script?
ufwis enabled and outgoing ports 80 and 443 are open."busy" means the iperf servers you're contacting are busy. Try
curl -Ls benchy.pw | bash -s -- --skip-disk --skip-gb --speedtestto use Ookla speedtest.Nice, NYCB045 got fixed. First time in a month that all 6 of my VPS's are up/accessible. Although 1 (LAKVM23) hasn't migrated yet so I expect that one to have some issues eventually.
