my VM is
onlinefrom the beginng,I can access it by VNC,butno internet,cannot ping through gateway, reconfigure network did't work, I really think @VirMach assignd me a 'fake' new ip.Are you typing the
IP addressenclosed inbackticks?There's only test install Ubuntu. With VNC I can see os is working, but new IP disappeared when migrated to Ryzen, only old xeon IP is there. I have wait this VPS too long. When I ordered this Migration Special last year, it was promised to be ok at end of April 2022. I ordered this for my summer cottage OpenMTCProuter use. So, it seems that summer is over and winter here, before this one is stable and working.
A few times I asked migrate it to working node. Not possible. Now it is mass-migrated to Ryzen, without working IP. Not good..
@jakechen & @karjaj
Did you try the "Fix Internet / Reconfigure Network" button yet? (Found in the control panel under the "Basic VPS Controls" section)
Often all you need to do, is click that button once, wait about 5-20mins and then check to see if things are working better.
Yes, it fixed many migrated VPS (I have 13 active..) network. A few need edit manually network files. But problem with this is, that there's only old Xeon IP. There was reserved new IP before migration, but after solus/billing panel not show it anymore. And reconfigure network not fix a problem.
@ZA_capetown same as @karjaj but I have assigned new IP ,3/4 VMs everything works now , Bad thing is the left one is docker swarm manager node in my 4 VMs. nothing I can do but wait for the ticket system.
Tried to reinstall the VPS with Windows 2022 (Ryzen compatible) template but it's not able to boot, I have a message from Windows boot environment with error 0xc0000225 "A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed"
Any idea on how to solve it?
@virmach Any news on getting network set up for DALZ008? My VPS has been booting up fine for last week or so but can't connect to the outside internet. Solus VNC and TightVNC work fine. I did read where you are having problems with getting remote hands work done in Dallas so am being patient.
Every day I run the Troubleshooter and see:
Main IP pings: false
Node Online: false
Service online: offline
Operating System: linux-ubuntu-20.04-x86_64-minimal-latest-v2
Service Status:Active
Registration Date:2020-12-11
Thanks for any info you can give.

It got back up, but the system won't boot. 'Boot failed: could not read the boot disk. No bootable device.'
Node laxa31 is perfect now. Thanks @VirMach
Can you please add netinst ISOs for Debian 10,11 to this node. and some other nodes in Lax like 13,24,30
my boy, hang in there, vps can crash, network too, but people must hang in there
Another day with no network on DALZ006
Any ETA @VirMach ?
@VirMach
Still no replies to my ticket (732120) dated the 7th. Server did appear to come back up, after another 2 days of it being unreachable even on VPS, but still back to the exact same issue. IP is not open to the internet. Doesn't propagate.
How can we resolve this, finally? I would like to be able to get to those files.
@VirMach
every time I boot up my VM(DAL-Z007), it goes down after about a minute, I can VNC but the screen will freeze, I can SSH, but it will also hang, then the VM will shut down by itself.
It was running fine about 48 hours ago and is suddenly not working.
@Virmach are you going to keep NY10GKVM61 or retire? It never connected to Solus nor had any migration button...
Mine is NY10KGVM62 and seems to be working fine as I can SSH but it is not migrated yet.
SJCZ004 down for one month, support ticket no reply. No solution.
Waiting for VirMach to set rDNS to work properly...
I did see your comment, and when you mentioned keys, one year effort, $1000, I did take a quick look at your ticket at the time. Then I realized you were saying no email notification when we did send one in your case, and that you were > @tuc said:
Template syncs constantly keep breaking for various reasons and they continue to have the most trouble in Los Angeles.
I've been meaning to set up our own content delivery network for them instead of using the sync feature on SolusVM but I haven't been able to get it to it. I agree though that it's getting ridiculous how many nodes have broken templates at this point so I'll try my best to do something about it to have a permanent resolution in place as soon as possible. As for any new requests if those are not already on the list, we'll have to do that after we get existing ones synced first.
If you want to actually get help around here I suggest not starting off with making the incorrect claim that SJCZ004 is down for a month.
We're already aware of about 5% of the services facing problems on this node, your ticket won't receive a response and it won't be used for the correction. It's already in the queue. We are also aware of these taking especially long to resolve so we're already planning on auto extending due dates once these are fixed.
We've been trying to migrate it for some time now but it's facing issues for an extended period of time. This is another node where we're aware and extending due dates by about a month before/after migrating it and it's next in line.
A lot of people still in this boat just really need to click reconfigure and wait for it to complete. I understand in some cases you may need to manually fix it within the operating system. The second part to this is that you need to check VNC and make sure the OS is functioning properly. If it's not, even if network configuration is correct, it won't work if network services and other related services aren't running properly.
At this point a priority reporting outage ticket will not do you any good unfortunately due to everyone using this button for cases that have already been resolved or part of the basic information on the network status page. And once/if we do get to it, we won't actually be able to provide a quick resolution if you didn't provide credentials in the ticket.
In these cases, a proper ticket title and credentials in the priority department will go a long way. Something like "Reconfigured and OS functional but not pinging - - - "
Then mention at what point you noticed the issue, if it was part of migration in the ticket and any other important details.
(edit) I noticed in your case you're just on a node waiting on DC hands to make a correction to switch configuration.
We're aware, it's on the list.
Dallas and SJC are being looked at next after Seattle today.
@VirMach We need a 10Gps switch in Japan, TYOC002S. This is from ping.pe
I found it's back yesterday and working fine
>
Those were from configuration changes in preparation for switch configuration changes. Afterward we'll evaluate and set up some more permanent improvements while we wait for 10G since it's taking longer than originally intended.
Luckily so far I don't see a network bottleneck, as in no single VM is trying to use the full port and causing a throttle. Average usage over last 2 weeks remains around 400Mbps and highest peaks are at 800Mbps. There's maybe two or three points for a few minutes where peak was reached, probably from network testing. Of course this doesn't mean we don't plan on moving to 10Gbps, the required switch is here at the office and I'll try to send it off soon.
Is there a chance of ip mismatch in case of double migration of vm?
ip A - first migrationip B - second migrationCurrent ip is B
VM is offline on solus and account control panel (ip B), but web based vnc viewer is pointing to different ip (ip A). No VNC connection is possible not to A, nor to B.
SolusVM: I can manipulate the instance, reinstall, rescue mode, etc, but the server status is offline with no connection (vnc, ssh) to it (ip B)
Thank you @VirMach

@VirMach Ticket #191061
Pending update for a paid migration for a box stuck. I made the migration ticket on 16th June
The box is inaccessible and is offline. VNC says CDROM and HDD boot media both not found. Reinstalling the VPS is also not working
