Wow
That happened because he wanted to beat Cam's Black Friday $ 1 NAT VPS.

Blimey!
@Virmach, if you haven't taken a well earned rest yet, did you see my Atlanta comments?
2018 was a very good deals year, that's why we're still here.
I took the advice.
My
vps7currently in Atlanta is going to New Jersey.Form submitted.
My
vps1currently in Los Angeles is going to San Jose.Form submission results in error:
Would San Jose become sold out tomorrow?
I don't want to going to the crappy new Los Angeles - it's same network as AlphaRacks.
Doubt you'll be disappointed, I have a system in SJ and routing is super nice. I'd almost think SJ is going to end up being more popular than LAX due to the superior network availible there. I wouldn't call QuadraNet's network crappy but it's definitely miles behind INAP, INAP's entire product is their network blend.
Goodbye LA,. Hello Phoenix!

I see some successfully creating here so it's possible it has to do with your specific package. What plan do you have?
Old packages will have the wrong templates and possibly wrong ISOs. No good way to halfway fix them right now. You need to stick with very specific newer operating systems right now or Netboot.
I'll still resync Atlanta if you let me know the specific node name.
I'm getting this error too, with a black friday promo plan.
Are you actually getting your boxes moved and set up on Ryzen? None of mine have moved off of Xeon yet, probably staggered deploy but i'm curious if anyone has actually been moved to Ryzen VS just getting a confirmation that they'll be moved eventually.
Hmmmm. Why is the last Debian in the reinstall menu Debian 8?
I have the famous $8.88 plan from 2020 Black Friday, 1920MB RAM and 45GB disk.
I just checked it's not among the host nodes in the notification email, despite the button has showed up.
Node Name ATLZ005
[Edit] Only legacy/EOL templates in Client Area: no selectable ISO in SolusVM.
Attempting netboot from Rescue - I may be some time..
Anybody know where the "How to get a recent OS onto a Virmach VPS cheat sheet" is?
Stop Press. Forgot about the other method to mount a template in Client Area (after selecting Management). Did I not say the I wasn't quite in the game yet?
See above: Debian 10 is there, as well as netboot, which gives you a whole suite to choose from. You may not get AES-NI enabled though.
If Debian 6 template is there install that first to get CPU pass-thru and AES-NI enabled, it will not boot. Wait 10 Minutes or more, then install the O/S you really want.
Where do those get enabled?
I see some weird routing on Dallas Ryzen... People can install AlmaLinux template first and then download netboot.xyz with @tototo tutorial
You've just been told. If it means nothing to you then just ignore (you have bigger issues
).
PM'd you.
You're just a big sap! (Scottish, possibly N. English expression) ;-)
ATL netboot: had an issue with Alma 8.5 and /dev/loop out of space - will revisit.
[Edit] dracut-initqueue failure for both Alma 8.5 and CentOS 7.x netboot install.
Debian 10 - totally raw install no disc/swap optimisation etc..

Got CentOS 7.x minimal installed from Client Area, Management, ISO, so all good, for me.
Fab. Thanks @Virmach
I have way too much time on my hands.
Since they changed all the tax reporting laws it does not pay for me to work or have a business anymore here in Mexico. This is because I am both a US citizen and a Mexican citizen and, even though I have not been a resident in the US for more then 30 years I still have to pay both US and Mexico income and Social Security taxes on income I earn in Mexico. I sold my last business in 2011 because my accountant was telling me I was going to have to pay 76% in overall taxes between the two countries the following year. I could work in the US and then I would only have to pay taxes there the same as everybody else, but my life and family is here in Mexico, so I really had no other option than to give 3/4 of my income away or retire.
So now I am just a useless eater.
i heard cash is king
Whereas I don't earn enough to pay taxes (semi-retired) - so we're just about in the same boat.
I heard that too. Where can I get some?
thats my question too 😙
