I have not seen a custom ISO upload feature at VirMach.

Am I the only one getting an endless repeat of captcha's when I try to log into the Virmach Client area?

I'm starting to seriously dislike "vertical rivers" :s

Edit: Ok, I finally got in! :)

    Japan storage server is done.

I was able to cram in 4 extra drives, so for Japan it's going to be 16 x 18TB, in RAID10, about 134TB of usable space. It's using a 5950X and 3200MHz DDR4 RAM. They will be the same price and bandwidth amounts as our regular storage plans (and 10Gbps port.)

I'm adding in a 7,400MB/s Gen4 NVMe here as well for caching but that hasn't been tested yet.

Can I migrate my current one in Buffalo to Japan?

We're expecting half of Buffalo to move to NYC and half of it to move elsewhere, mainly Japan and Netherlands, but also Chicago. So I'd say about a 15% minimum chance you can move to Japan.

    looking good, any lg?

Done just means done here in LA. Still needs freight to Tokyo.

    Awesome @VirMach
How can I order a storage box here?

Pre-orders will open up most likely this Friday if I can actually at least ship it out by then. I don't really want to do pre-orders if it's not at least sent off, that doesn't seem to work out too well based on previous experience!

Keep in mind for Tokyo storage, we most likely will only have pre-orders at regular or near regular price. The pre-order will essentially ensure your spot there since it's already extremely limited and in my opinion an amazing deal on its own with the level of bandwidth you would receive on a storage service in that region.

We've been working on an alternative ever since a customer expressed his extreme dissatisfaction with it (and I agreed) a couple months ago. The project unfortunately got put on the back burner.

Friday is the fifth day of the week according to the international standard ISO 8601 and is considered the last working day of the week in most western countries.

I never stop working so... I may have meant "never."

PHOENIX is getting more servers with about 300 spots available here for the sale on Friday or Saturday ETA.

DENVER is getting servers on Friday or Saturday but needs initial networking configured and may be available by Saturday or Monday. About 300 spots.

DALLAS is getting servers on Friday or Saturday as well and also needs initial networking and potentially need the PDU still set up as it's going in a new cabinet. This may take until Monday or later to be fully ready. About 600 spots here, probably.

SEATTLE is also getting more servers, and I'm still wrapping a few up that are already there. Should be available immediately, with more availability on Saturday. Over 600 spots will be available in this location.

NYC Metro is expected as early as Monday but potentially later in the week. Over 600 spots.

TOKYO will be earliest next Friday. Pretty much all servers ready here as well. Thousands of spots available.

ATLANTA will be next Monday or Tuesday. Over 300 spots here.

CHICAGO is still getting set up. I don't have an ETA but once the cabinet is ready, it's probably about a week out. We're going to have extra space here so I'd say 600 or more spots available here as well.

LOS ANGELES could potentially be ready this weekend, to some degree. Over 600 spots will be available at this location.

So at least 3,200 services will be sold for the sale and up to 6,000 but with about half being more of a "pre-order" than others.

I could be wrong though, who knows.

Possible that it'll be first people willing to migrate without data as our hired developer for that project is having trouble finishing the migration with data script in time. There's no randomized system planned to give everyone a "fair" chance so it will most likely be first come first serve, with a good blend of different types of customers planned (new customers and pre-orders, full MSRP paying customers, a set number of specials, and the rest are overflows primarily from Los Angeles and Buffalo.)

    @RecD said:

Psychz, Inap through Dedipath, and xTom.

Psychz is LAX1, AMS1 at Switch DC, DAL2, and CHI1.

We didn't feel comfortable going with the same partner on all of them, nor did any of them even have all the locations available. Tokyo second datacenter was going to be Equinix but we scrapped that plan. Tokyo is still in Equinix as they have something like 12 or 13 datacenters there, but just not directly through them as we needed a good network blend and it was difficult to get that done with the right companies. For Inap we did speak with them directly but we decided against that as the sales people there seemed to be less friendly and while we were able to negotiate better pricing, it seemed like they wanted to push a lot of upsells and didn't care much about smaller footprint customers.

No Singapore for now. Tokyo was much more popular in the poll we did and data/power ended up being slightly more affordable there as well.

Singapore was a close second and we'll keep that in mind for future expansion in 2023 or late 2022.

If available, count me in to recreate without data in Tokyo, from Buffalo or Los Angeles, no migration required. Although I may just buy a new one during the sale just to be sure I get at least one spot in Tokyo. This is going to be so much fun :)

EDIT: Actually I don't really need migration on any of the moves if it's easier for you.

I also want that, if it is allowed to change my vps (without data) location from buffalo to japan :D

Dont care about my data, I only need Japan.

I may buy a new one, but the Migration Plan might have the priority.

I already paid a Los Angeles server and turned off the power for several months; I just waited for migration.
so I can join the no-data migrate club too :)
