I was just tickling your balls buddy ;)

@dustinc stands and confirms that if you get the 150GB reseller plan you can achieve what you want :)

@dustinc said: but our Shared - 150 GB Black Friday plan does allow you to host unlimited domains.

yeah but I have zero use for 150GB of disk space. (and the cost associated with it, I pay on avg ~$10 USD for cpanel hosting with unl domains.)

Of course, it's up to you how you set up your plans, I'm surprised to learn that domains have an effect of cpanel account pricing. I will have to look into that, as I have many cpanel accounts with other hosts that give me unl domains.

Anyway, I'll stop crapping on your thread :D

@dustinc said: cPanel license pricing is based on the number of acct's, so we do specify the number of accounts you can create with every reseller plan

right thing! Another aspect is if a host allows creating unlimited cpanel/DA accounts, and user adds 1000s of domains one for each cpanel account, then every time a new account/domain is added the httpd service gets restarted. Now more the domains a node has, more time spent to restart the httpd as this file gets too heavy to load!

this happened with my another host where a single user was adding 5K to 7K domains! And there were handful of them! making the entire 4C/8T E3 machine sluggish for rest of the users! Finally they were shown the doors!

Later with per-accounting pricing method cPanel ultimately helped in reducing such users who use to add 5K-7K domains/accounts and rewarding genuine users who respect the resources!

Finally such users have moved to DA hosts causing a mess on those nodes!

I've been lucky to win a few giveaways as well as scoring some of the flash deals and I have to say that @dustinc has gone above and beyond what was expected.
Excellent first impression of RackNerd, and now eagerly waiting for AMS to be provisioned as well :)

@tomle - this is awesome! We sincerely appreciate you sharing this feedback, while we hear lots of good things about us, it is rare to actually hear good things about any hosting provider today. Many never share the good, so when they do, it's always sincerely appreciated as this goes a long way. We work extra hard to keep our reputation solid, we deliver, and when we don't we take full responsibility for it and offer a resolution. Our goal is to provide quick and helpful support, along with services that our end users can count on. All products we offer, are meant to support production environments. So we take performance quite serious.

Thank you again for working with us. I too can't wait for AMS :)

Would it be possible to move an active service from the USA to NL?

Hello - we don't offer migrations between locations, without either a one time fee to cover the admin time, or perhaps an increase in price depending on the operation cost for the desired location.

When we first announced AMS, on an older thread, or perhaps earlier within this thread, it was time sensitive to purchase, in which case if you were to order and open a ticket (at that time) directed to me, we'd have it approved and noted. Many did, and these tickets remain on hold pending the location to be live.

If we didn't make this time sensitive, we'd have an endless amount of requests in the future requesting migrations between locations, etc with no real way to track our "free migration" promise as part of our new launch. This simply requires a lot of manual admin time, and the older sales were specifically created for AMS.

I'm always happy to work with end users, as at the end of the day we want to be flexible but also within reason if possible. Send me an email [email protected]
