What do you want to see on LEB?

Just a quick and simple question...
In 2020, what sort of content do you want to see on Low End Box? What would be most interesting to you? What would give you a reason to want to check the website more frequently?

I don't think that you fathom just how bad a reputation LEB has nowadays. This was a real achievement on the part of CC. Congrats.
have you ever heard of customer centric inbound marketing?
requests like you do here are a perfect start for that... if you really consider and follow the feedback!
if it's just pretending simply spare the effort. your investors or shareholders want to see reliable recurring revenue and not short term sale pushing with unsustainable crap.
you can wiggle only so much, at some point you'll realize that people will eventually vote with their wallet and you only get the unreliable abusive leftovers of the market.
I mean it's your business model - you're fine with a high churn because you have everything automated and a high budget on CAC? so be it. I still doubt, that this is going to be a model worth your while.
I understand that your main interest isn't selling directly but providing an attractive platform for your partners to sell on. maybe think about proper collateral and teaching apropriate sales and marketing models to them, instead of continue letting them run into the same wrong approach over and over again...
I find it to be a very useful directory of hosts that I should avoid, so please continue providing that service and don't change anything. Thank you.

I have told this to both Chris and Nick on discord on multiple occasions, over the span of multiple months, via a PM. No change was made.
I have no expectations for any changes, especially seeing how LEB "changed" the last time "changes were coming". The only thing that happened then was MORE pushing of the shitty brands, which eventually all died in one big fireball of an explosion in december last year.
As said above by @tetech, LEB is currently only interesting as a directory of hosts to AVOID, rather than a useful site to find your next vps on.
To further make a point, this post by @cvps_chris back in June last year states the following:

LEB then went on to have basically ONLY ColoCrossing-based offers, up until the big boom.

The support desk has been broken since well before November 2019 (maybe @raindog308 can give a more exact timeline here)
The only rulechange since then has been to explicity dis-allow "stress testing" of hosts.

Why is anyone even wasting any time responding to him, he is a snake, there is always a reason he posts and it is not because he wants to know anyones opinion.
Something is changing on LEB and he is going to try and make it look like he asked the community first.
Make a nice big list of new offers as a sidebar followed by a list of recently advertised Deadpooled colocrossing brands.
Honestly by now - it feels like you are just straight up trolling.
Either do something about the scams there or don't, thats entirely up to you, but stop trolling on here, saying that changes are coming. We know better than that by now.

LET/LEB has always been under the direction of jbiloh since the properties were sold to CC many years ago. So while we can blast Chris for failing miserably to bring any positive change to LEB, he was ultimately doing it as per Jon's instruction. Thus, a "changes are coming" from Jon doesn't have any more merit than if Chris said it again for the 100th time.
I want to see more non-ColoCrossing offers.
This thread is worthless spam like the nine million others started by the CC team. Everytime I see one of these I want to vomit in a CC desk and drop the kids off at the pool in their urinals.
LEB has a credibility problem. Unless there was a "meet and greet" with community representative or owners that people will continue to think they are scam operation, owned by the same scum as last scam. Owners who come to LET and build a reputation with daily presence can build some trust and goodwill and have a chance to make something that will last.

There have definitely been some black eyes that have happened the last couple years. I'm going to change that moving forward.
Quality feedback is critically important, I agree. There are no investors, shareholders, or anyone else involved at this point. As the moderators already know, a couple weeks ago I acquired Low End Box and Low End Talk from Deluxe. This marks the first time in many, many years that LEB and LET are not owned by a company in the hosting industry. For example, I've already eliminated most of the ads on LET and the same will be done with LEB over the next week or so after I am done moving the websites to their new server platform.
Today my main focus on the community. In the past it was a mix between commercial and the community (I was never the Darth Vader some made me out to be!).

Chris had good intentions here but was limited based on resources and being limited in his purview. He stays very busy working at Deluxe.
This was not good and that will not happen in the future.
This is getting fixed as soon as LEB and LET are moved to their new hosting platform. The work has been going on the past two weeks (banners going away, new cloud platforms being installed and prepared, etc).
A couple more weeks. Change is coming.

The mods were notified a few days ago. Other clues were changes to the footers, removal of references to Deluxe (still a work in progress), removal of banner ads, etc.

In the period before ColoCrossing was sold to Deluxe you are correct. For the past two years I have not been in full control of LEB or LET.
This is already happening. Offers are now picked with zero consideration for datacenter providers.
I understand being skeptical, though this time it a bit different.
I agree that there is a credibility problem. We are going to be diligent in fixing that.

The short version to the long story is that I now own LEB and LET. For the first time in many years LEB and LET are now owned by someone with no ownership connection to a hosting company. Things are going to change for the better. Some of that change has already begun.

Who is the team now, who does what, etc.

@jbiloh Look man I have been in this business a long, long time. I have seen companies and people come and go, and most of them spew the same rhetoric.
The only way I believe people any more is by their actions. Since CC, under your management, took this place over it has become nothing but a shit show. You have said the same rhetoric all the others have, and never even tried to make this into the place it could have been.
So many talented people have been here and left because of what your company has done. All the lies and deceit have made LEB and LET into the laughing stock of the internet. This will not be easily fixed nor will it come tomorrow. It can be done, but **YOU **will have to put in the work to do it.
I am not sure the damage can be fixed at this point, you have let so many scam and out right thefts go on under the nose of these sites that I hardly buy from here anymore. I would not touch a LEB host if I had to shut down all my sites and pack it in.
You not only need to clean this mess up, but your personal rep is also shit. You MAY **and I stress **MAY own these sites now personally, but I will believe what you say when there is more then words being done. I say **MAY **because, at this point, I do not believe a word you say about anything.
Until the actions are done and I see any type of improvement, all you have is your rep and words. Those are worth nothing to me and many around here I am sure. I will not get any hopes of things getting better, until I can see them. Token gestures do not count for anything, if you are serious and want to make this property better, then do the damned work and get it done.
