Just use it. At least then you can justify buying it. If it gets suspended then you're no worse off than if you were idling it. Just be reasonable, don't go crazy with the CPU/HDD and you'll be fine.
It's not easy like that. I have couple use that don't use cpu and another that more like dedicated core. I probably can manage to only use a percent of core, but still, I'm not sure about the sweet spot.
No, the discount was 0% when the code was first released and then later fixed to be 90%. I used it yesterday and posted the benchmark here.

I mean they are quite reasonable actually. I accidentally used too much CPU on a FREE service and they still sent me a ticket first before doing anything to tell me to reduce my CPU usage.
I reduced it, replies to ticket, problem went away. They don’t shut off your stuff or suspend that quickly, they tell you to stop first.
Still was my bad for using up too much resources, especially on a free service they provided me.

There will be EU flash sales around Christmas apparently. We'll have to see if the egg codes are still good.
