Alright, that's the only deal I could find with google as well. Thanks for double checking.

sc754, they haven't responded to any of my questions how they can resell ovh if ovh doesn't allow it. they're weird.

    Not sure how really :S

Here's the output of its specs, it looks like it's an OVH server especially as its on the 37.187.x.x range.

@sc754 you paid a 10 eur setup fee on that and on top that you pay 6 euros/month for it...

  • xsetxset Member

@sc754 for the HDD space/price ratio its the same if you had gotten KS4G from OVH!

Some had a 10 euro setup, but when i went to geolocate in the UK the setup charge disappeared, so it was only 6 euro. Not sure why, nothing makes much sense with ovh or this oneprovider company

Eh? This is 6 euro vs 8.99 from ovh? I might not keep it yet, depends if OVH give me a n2800 when the one from them finally arrives.

  • xsetxset Member

@sc754 Yeah, today's KS2Gs deliveries have been N2800 (according to forum postings)

I thought you also pay VAT? If you only pay 8.99 then 1000 GB disk is cheaper of course.

  • udkudk Member

can you change geolocation on these? I missed that

No vat for it, I don't know why. Lets hope some more OVH servers get delivered soon. They told me they had no stock :/

  • xsetxset Member

@sc754 where are you located? If they got all delivered yesterday+today, we have to wait 4+ weeks

  • xsetxset Member

@sc754 did you pay oneprovider via paypal? did they ask to send a picture of yourself and a credit card?

  • @xset said:

Yeah I paid with paypal, they didn't ask for any ID at all :/ OVH asked for ID the first time I got a server with them though :S I'm in the UK.

  • Oles:

On KS 15000-2G ordered, approx 1400 were delivered. Intel thinks we deliver approx 1000 CM / week. Everything should be delivered in mid September

Time to play the waiting game.

  • Got my 2G today at 9AM. Paid by Paypal on the 25th. I was told i can't renew thorough paypal so i'll have to extend this with a CC if i still want it after 3 months. I have the dual core with hyperthreading CPU.

They didn't told me that, how did they told you?

Well, I dont mind if they deliver even in september, i do not need it, just curious if I will get it at all.
I have 2 scenarios I am thinking of:
    1. They accept my paypal payment and ask for some documents, i will send;
    2. They do not accept my paypal and ask for credit card scan if I pay with it, I will not send.

There is probably the third, they just leave the payment pending and I hear nothing from them, but that will mean no change.

I opened a ticket with them before i got my server asking whether i'll be cancelled for paying with Paypal and they replied after giving the server saying "no, it's okay but you won't be able to renew it with Paypal".

Very strange. On Saturday 27th I ordered a KS16G and the day after I ordered a mSP both with the same credit card. I am an existing customer with 2 Kimsufis (2G and 8G) in the UK. Both of these orders and my existing ones are on the same account.

The mSP order then got an email to ask me for scanned docs again (despite having done this ages ago) which I did. My mSP was delivered on Friday 2nd.

Today I got an email saying my payment for the KS16G order could not be verified - despite it having been sat in manual verification since I placed it. That said now they took RAID away I'm not sure I want it.

That is far from strange, they are out of stock on raid ones and are forcing you to reorder the raidless one, welcome to the magic world of OVH.

It was the fourth for me: I checked the paypal transactions and that authorized payment is cancelled now. No word from them at all.

You pay with paypal and they deliver your server? I paid with a real Visa card, not a VCC and they cancelled all of my payment? You're so damn lucky.

  • xsetxset Member

    @isy44h122 what did you order?

  • BrianHarrisonBrianHarrison Member, Patron Provider

Doesn't really seem possible. The cost of electricity is more than that. However, the publicity they've generated could compensate...

  • udkudk Member

they dont pay the bills, they are running it off a street light

Are you in the EU? I am.

  • @coolnow yes from EU

  • Were these restricted to EU customers only? I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

  • xsetxset Member

@tsume have you been living under the rocks? Only EU!
