Audio notification is finally working now after a silly bug on my side (Click on the sound icon on top right). Translation for Chinese is also complete now, also fixed mobile UI to be nice and working. Enjoy.

Reinstall is free. They are just numbers to discourage users to reinstall again and again at the same time so as to not bog down the system. You can open a ticket and they will do it for you.

I believe this is the final update today before I rest for Cyber Monday. Manual refresh button is now added, with Telegram channel notice on top. Also a random footer. Let me know if you have any more feature suggestions.

I believe the valuation of a certain deal is quite subjective unless someone can give a good formula for me to put inside.

Haven't bought anything from @VirMach yet, hope there's some crazy deals (that I am fast enough to get) while I am awake.

  • No shitweasel, no BF sale :expressionless: !

  • Same here. Havent bought anything this year. Waiting for killer deals on Cyber Monday.

As Deal Compiler Extraordinaire you are eligible for a special deal from @VirMach for all the work you've put in (for the app and out here, and maybe tomorrow as well - who knows!). So don't worry, you'll be covered along with @Nekki for some special provider sponsored goodies.

The little buffalo is really cute

I can't toggle notification (the bell has a slash through it), but no worries, I'll survive

After seeing the posts about BFBPP at page 18 (?), here's my feature request: Instead of a buffalo, have a centerfold model, or a ring girl gallivanting at the bottom of the page when the deal is rea-a-lly hot! :)

And that brings us to valuation: Yes it is subjective indeed. I remember checking ddhhz's formula last year, and IIRC it had a big bias towards a certain location (I haven't checked it this year). It still provides a good basis, but I can understand coding it taking some time, but the result still not pleasing all...

"What I would have done" options:

    • Go through Virmach's store options, and try to interpolate the deals with the yearly prices of the options there - this still could get messy, since their configuration options are not that varied regarding the main spec points.
    • Certain overkill: :) Provide interface for people to define their own point system/coefficients for certain features/locations (e.g. if user is only interested in LA / Windows, mark all other locations (disk size < 20-30 GB) $0, or a very low proportion of normally estimated value)

Yeah, the mind of a developer wanders... :)

  • @FAT32 , BTW, either your page, or the virmach.app apparently has a huge leak somewhere/somehow!? After keeping them both open in a window for (god knows how many!) hours, one of my Firefox processes was showing 7+ GB memory usage, ouch! It went away only after I closed the window... Sorry I didn't have time at that point to investigate which page was the actual culprit... (and since it's just a matter of closing, and reopening the window in the worst case, it's not that big a deal... just the QE side of me reporting... )

  • Qustion: How long do they usually take to provision a pending order? Im so excited to play with mine.

Frankly I didn't do optimisation on client-side due to time constraint, I usually will check for things like memory leak, network requests, code splitting etc etc, but not for this project, as you can see I am rushing like a hackathon project.

I only focused on the UX and ease of use to be production grade but not the performance and compatibility. I will try to debug that when I have time.

Yeah, I do get the nature of this, and please do not spend time on this on my behalf (or even for your own curiosity), instead spend that time sleeping/resting for CM!... ;)

But then you do math. 24$/year = 2$ per month.
