@eol youre the one throwing stuff around without doing the reading. I know you usually just jump into threads and post non funny overused 3 worded responses but sometimes you should read previous comments.
I think the point here is, it is easier to prove that you are associated with something than to prove that you are not associated with something. The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.
That said, the benefits me and dahartigan get from HostDoc is probably premium support and the flash deals we have gotten. Our main reason for joining multiple communities is to allow us to relieve stress in real life.
For myself, I found that HostDoc is great so I recommend them and to support a new hosting company. I will still judge fairly if they did something wrong, but so far they are great.
I haz vested interest.
Because they gots my money, hope they sell more to fill their nodes so I can keep going at such rates.
Thanks for the compliment.
I read all that.
Still I think you are exaggerating.
I hope @dahartigan could help me sale my products like he helped @HostDoc..
JK
Maybe @corbpie is just jealous.
I have nothing wrong with the helping just the clarity. People on here always get upset and turn to insults when faced with the facts about actions. It should be for this places best interests to have host rep tags for those like @dahartigan who are associated with a provider. Majority of his posts are about said provider i have noticed this for a long time but for newbies on this platform not so much.
Of?
Why do you ask me?
Ask yourself.
Come on stop it guys
Youre the one that stated "something"
It's a broad field and not easy to answer without a Q/A session.
Truthful answers provided.
For example:
I saw people being jealous of the others' imaginary gf albeit they never really have seen her.
@corbpie
Not you again
Go ahead and take the stage and tell me exactly what the problem is with me reaching out to @darhatigan and requesting whether he could create what would mainly be a knowledge base with a write of certain how-to's in relation to how he optimises his plex servers so others could follow his steps?
The proof of that conversation is right here on LET and any mod can confirm that by reading through our PM history which would have been close to a week ago now.
Seriously, call a mod and ask them to check if you want proof @corbpie
Now, if @dahartigan was indeed shilling as you suggest, why would he have services with us one of which is a resource pool which allows for further VPS, so he has quite a number of paid services with us all dating months back before the forum was even an idea. You want more proof? With @dahartigans permission, I'll show his payment proofs or he can show you directly from his panel if he chooses to do so.
The sad thing is as the forum was being built, @dahartigan contacted me and mentioned something exactly like this and do you know what I told him? To be honest, because neither he nor I have anything to hide.
It will be a community forum to be announced to HostDoc clients this coming weekend via newsletter.
The aim? To have a central location where all hostdoc clients (others welcome too) could get together and discuss their service with other HostDoc users rather than flooding support.
It is to be a place where a novice user need not feel embarrassed that they have purchased a unmanaged server and have no idea how to use it.
It is to be a community of people who can get along and feel a like they belong for having a service with us.
It is to be a place that has no limits in it's scope of what it could grow into.
But most importantly, a place without the toxicity you and a few others exhibit on this forum here.
You are welcome to join if your pride will allow you do such a thing.
But a shill? No, he is not. Iam happy @dahartigan stumbled across my BF thread and took the plunge. I am happy @dahartigan is a client of mine and an exemplary one at that.
I am happy I am able to make personal connections with some of my clients that they trust me enough and like my service enough that they are willing to share my vision and are happy to want to help that vision.
You @corbpie are a miserable individual who I do not share the same sentiments as some of my other clients with.
You need to find some happiness in your heart in order to be happy for others. You seem to lack these traits and a few other desirale decent human being traits.
But, I guess that is just who you are @corbpie and nothing will change that.
How is @dahartigan shilling?
All I see is somenone who's satisfied with the product & service he received from the doc and decided to recommend the service to fellow forumer any way he can. I myself am a satisfied customer of @hostdoc.
The same can be said for those disgruntled ex-customer. They will find a way to discredit the host whenever the opportunity arises.
hmmm - if there is a bright line between a fan (or fanboy, no offense intended) and a shill - at this point I would be (somewhat) surprised to discover @dahartigan on the other side of that.
a more likely (and, in my opinion, more fair) assessment might be to recognize the dynamic of an early adopter enjoying some good deals from a new provider, and being motivated to put in a good word when it seems appropriate to do so.
It would be a different story if @HostDoc was peddling a bogus product. But this is good stuff here.
Anyway, this is an offer thread - maybe best to move further discussion out of the doc's waiting room, so as not to disturb their practice any further?
Snip.
Thanks for that Doc, and you have my permission to provide any evidence necessary
Sorry to have contributed to the derailment of your thread
EDIT: snipped the quote, and thanks to those who can see through corbpie's bs
Ah yes, fanboy would be the appropriate term
I'll wear fanboy, it's true, I'm a huge fan. I've already explained many times why that is, as have others
Should we make some HostDoc stickers and shirts?
Haha awesome idea, spread the word
Take my money!!!!!!!!!
(maybe do a little run of HostShill swag for all teh fanboys in this thread too?)
EDIT2:
Anything new and astounding on the https://hostdochost.i.ng page?
Off to check it now, brb
If @dahartigan is a HostDoc shill I will proudly take the title of Hetzner shill.
Breaking news, @eol loves hetzner
EDIT2: forgot the at hat
Did you applied for their stickers? They are actually giving out them right now.
You have gone well over the point i made as my first comment. I dont not care what you are giving @dahartigan and i never claimed he isnt a paying customer, i simply stated he is associated with you and there is no denying that it is easy (public) to see.
What thread are you talking about here?
I dont need private messages or invoices.
Connections, relationships and building communities = no issue from me, but having someone associated with you on here with nothing stating that is where the issue lies.
How can someone who majoritly posts and recommends your brand on here, be your forum mod, create content for you claim they have un bias nor at no benefit to you?
You follow a trend on here, when things dont go your way just resort to attacking the user personally. Saying what you did is ridiculous and in no way truthful, to attack ones character must come with anger @HostDoc
@HostDoc we need drugs!
No.
Where? How? When?
@corbpie is a good example of why meth is a hell of a drug
@HostDoc needs to prescribe @corbpie some.
