1-2TB per 1vps for personal uses .
Personally, 2Tb is enough
To give an outlier: I only use 0.2TB as backup.
2TB is more than enough
Given that you're working on storage VPSses, 9TB to make a full backup of my NAS
1Tb would be nice for servers, but for another project I am a part of, as much as possible.
2TB is what I use.
99TB3TB max right now.
Since we are talking about backup storage, 2TB would be great. 1TB is ok too.
In theory I could use about 3tb but maybe put that up to 5tb if I reconfigure my server. In the latter case, bandwidth to germany (hetzner) would have to be quite good.
2 TB is more then enough for personal use. I have in my pc 500GB data that I backup regurarly.
Btw. We are waiting for your backup packages since 6-7 months you promised in a thread better packages as time4vps
2x2TB looking to switch one to 4TB shortly... underlying raid much preferred
I smell storage boxes in Romania
Max: 60 TB. Min: 2 TB; prefer something b/w 2-4 TB for personal projects.
Pavin.
Right now I'm at 10tb of personal backups.
Alright, but who really needs all that warez and porn? ;-)
Thinking about it further I'm probably not a likely customer for this, given the fairly low cost of storage directly at Hetzner, and that if I'm going to move stuff I probably want it to be towards North America rather than away from there. Thinking on and off about cheap colo in St. Louis or similar.
2tb is all what i need to have online
I use a 500GB VPS for various server backups and some limited file storage. Backup servers generally aren't very cheap per-TB (assuming a minimum of RAID1 is present), so a larger backup server isn't really an affordable option for me (especially so given that I'm locked into a very low price for that 500GB server).
My main computer's backups are around ~1.5TB at the moment (but I use Backblaze for that).
At the moment around 16TB
I have around 6TB, currently stored at amazon cloud drive.
i dont like to compare to any of my competitors all have pro and cons, i will be unique , but no worry will be a verry good service and verry good price , we will start to offer from the next year so you can wait 1-2 weeks more
wait 1-2 weeks and please pm i will offer you something sexy
We need one of those popcorn emojis .
5 years ago, I kept copies of all film and tv I downloaded which totalled about 3tb. But since I got involved in private trackers, I don't have to keep copies. I just download when I want to watch anything.
Personally I'd like 2-4TB, but more being possible is fine with me. Looking forward to finding out what the offer will be like.
Free Snapshot Storage - 6.7 TB
Backup Storage - 28TB
Personally I have no mass amounts of files but everything is in the 'cloud'.
iv got a backup server that has 5TB, i find that plenty enough for what i need.
Youll need to fix that sig before your butt hole is made larger.
I think a better question is how do people use their backup servers, what protocol do they use to transfer data. I had a plan a while back with BIGvps to provide the storage and NFS/SFTP/SSH/RSYNC for a ridiculous price. But thats when my lack of business skills drained the bank
