Unless they changed the system recently, VPN will do.

If anyone still needs invites, PM me. I have my own email server and I'm basically going to cURL the invite form with a bot.

I currently have about 35 invites to give away.

Wew. Need to work on my dutch, but I got through and activated with an NL proxy. Thanks @nulldev

  • Thanks @nulldev. I signed in but was unable to activate as an NL address is required. I got the apology email. Pity.

  • Lucky to get the coupon from Canadian IP (and Canada address). Now to translate Dutch and to setup the STACK and use 1TB.

  • I used UK ip address and got the code no problem but got the rejection email after activating it.

  • Anyone had the account deactivated after actually using hundreds of GB?

I'm just thinking of using as mirror for borg backup repos for now.

    Thanked by 1perryoo11
  • thanks @nulldev. got it and activated successfully :p

also thanks the great help of @perryoo11 :)

    also want to know,

use NL proxy when activated, I wonder if it will cause account deactivated if I use the IP of other country later :p

@vimalware 1TB is 1TB, isn't it? What makes you think so? Any special reason to worry about that?

@vimalware 1TB is 1TB, isn't it? Do you see any special reason to worry about that?

Got 900+ gb worth of "fully licensed" music on it. No problems at all.

  • Since it appears that there are many folks who are interested in the service but are having difficulties getting signed up/activated, can anyone put together a small checklist of what one needs to do to get an active/usable 1 TB account?

The language being Dutch doesn't help the non-Dutch folks (and even with Google's Translate help it was not easy to get everything sorted out).

I don't (yet) have a valid account because:

    1. You NEED a NL IP.
    2. You NEED a NL (fake ^H^H^H^H real) address.
    3. You NEED an email account that hasn't been used with invites before - i.e. it should not have failed in step 1 and 2 above - I got a polite ONE Invite per person message when I used the same/personal email address again (palm-on-my-face-aargh).
    4. You need (new) username(s) in case 1-2-3 failed.
    5. Mr. Murphy will soon come up with some new use cases to prevent ME from getting a very useful 1TB of storage. It's a conspiracy I tell you...they're out to get me (despite @nulldev 's generosity).
    6. I need deserve 1 TB.

Of course you ALSO need an invite....

Let the wise ones spout their wisdom and spread the envy...

  • I used real address and real ip to sign up in October '16

  • I didn't supply an address at all, only used nl vpn for requesting an invite and registration afterwards. may be you are able to first register with their page and request an invite after that (use a NL VPN anyways) ...

I've just got an email after using the code stating that a lot of people have registered from the same IP and asking for an explanation! I used Windscribe VPN which always seems to give the same IP. Any ideas as to what I should reply back with?

Say "You got me but too early to rejoice. While you're dancing over there you know I'll be using another IP to sign up. See ya! :)"

  • My idea is buy cheap yearly NL VPS and used it to mount the owncloud storage :/

  • My only fear is that with their current behaviour transip could easily shut down your account and you could lose all your files. I don't think it's worth trusting them with anything.

  • Scaleway has hourly vps in NL now, with a big IP pool... just sayin'.

  • Stack is awesome, I'm using it to upload my IP Camera video's to it (using Synology sync + surveilance). Works fine, never seen it disconnect or anything like that.

Writing in Dutch probably helps more than what you say. And that means good Dutch, not Google Translate ;)

hmm thats odd. didn't had that problem though, because I have an own vps/vpn in NL...

if you reply maybe simply stick to the truth and tell them you don't understand much dutch from their page, but figured you would need a NL IP to sign on, hence used a VPN service for that.

or try again with another mail and IP ;-)

I tried registering the invite I got from them almost 7 months ago through a NL VPN today and got "Oops, STACK is currently not available in your country." I guess no Stack for me? :(
