Edit:: message was for pm
Got my server up for grabs if the offer is temptimg.
Moved my things in a different direction, so I no longer need OVH services.
I also have the premium bw package (90 euro) paid for one more month.
It's in GRA1, but with uncapped gigabit ovh-ovh even on default bandwidth.
Fr. subsidiary.
If you do not want to renew, I am willing to buy it, please pm me. I have ie account.
Please PM me if you have one available for transfer
Im willing to transfer my server. It's paid until 21. November with 2 additional ips. German Account. RBX 6.
Can accept several payment methods (Paypal, BTC, etc.)
Let me know if someone is interested.
I'm going to pay EUR 120 for a server transferred to my .fr account, PM me if you're interested.
I think I have one for sale. .DE Account. Offers per PN. Valid highest offer > 100 € after Tuesday is accepted.
anyone had a OVH RBX limited one?
I have interest
@Falzo I don't understand.
Seems that the bandwidth is changed for this server:
thanks for pointing that out, just had a quick look and it shows the same values on mine like yours... seems like OVH simply changed that in the control panel to match the given guaranteed speed and not any possible limit.
somewhere in this thread someone already said that their support pointed out that the racks in GRA are on switches limited to 250Mbps... I haven't seen faster (outgoing/upload) speeds on this anyways.
just ran a quick european download bench to verify:
so despite saying anything about the panel values it seems outgoing is hard capped at 250 and incoming is burstable with 250 guaranteed.
doesn't change anything after all, speeds are same as before for me - can't tell about servers in other locations though.
Ok, thanks for fast explanation!
same here:
sudo iperf -c ping.online.net
Client connecting to ping.online.net, TCP port 5001
TCP window size: 85.0 KByte (default)
[ 3] local xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx port 49986 connected with 62.210.18.40 port 5001
[ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth
[ 3] 0.0-10.0 sec 947 MBytes 793 Mbits/sec
GRA1 is capped at 250?:
iperf -c ping.online.net
Client connecting to ping.online.net, TCP port 5001
TCP window size: 85.0 KByte (default)
[ 3] local 37.187.xxx.xxx port 55954 connected with 62.210.18.40 port 5001
[ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth
[ 3] 0.0-10.0 sec 301 MBytes 252 Mbits/sec
Many Servers are mine is aswell in gra an is burstable to 1gbit
ALL servers from this offer are capped externally at 250mb.
Some were also capped internally, but this is due to wrong SYS switches, you could try and ask them to correct it.
Per OVH policy, when you get a new server, regardless of it's capping speed, in the first month you will experience full premium BW for a certain amount of traffic.
Depending on your traffic in the first month (can last the full month, or just a few days), when you reached that certain limit, you are placed on your real/advertised speed.
Sorry, where is stated?
What's bandwidth Burst all about?
The 1 Gbps and 3 Gbps burst feature is enabled by default on servers connected in 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps (respectively). This service is disabled as soon as your average guaranteed bandwidth consumption exceeds 50%.
How is my allocated burst period calculated?
Every 6 hours, we recalculate the average bandwidth consumed (based on 95%) and we compare it to 50% of the guaranteed bandwidth. If it's less, we don't change anything, but if it's higher, we will disable the burst temporarily and you won't be able to reactivate it. In other words, for 5% of the month (meaning 1 half day), you are entitled to 1 Gbps or 3 Gbps with no limitation. If beyond that half day you consume over 50% of the guaranteed bandwidth, your burst will be disabled and you can only use your guaranteed bandwidth.

Pretty sure I saw his stated when I ordered.
Seems that OVH changed bandwidth policies for this server. It's confirmed with support team.
any one still wants to move there server to others ?
another shady move OVH™
Who likes display errors?
it was advertised as 250mbit so.. where is the problem? There is no reason to contact the support
You poor fellas and your slow seedboxes
When was this as I queried whether internet to OVH should've been 250mbps but I believe it is?
Interesting that people are getting different speeds haha
You guys can let me take over your SLOW boxes for a fee if you like
That would make you be blazingslowservers.
omg forget to change nick!
You're so funny.
