    I don't understand how ovh decide which customer to verify, I tried to order ovh vps last month got ask to validate which I refuse as it was too much fuse for just a vps.

    Last night same account just update my billing address 5 mins before ordering got server delivered in 5 mins no need for validation, must just be random

    Unfortunately yes :( If you open the order link after the 24 hours have passed, you would be asked to order again,

    That's sad. Sent you a PM. After getting the answer about the price, I've received the invoice and a message about they are taking the payment, but at the same time the order appears as canceled. I'm really confused.

    When they First verified me I immediately called them After my Order asking howblong this would Take and they were like "Just a Moment, Sir" and after few mins I was verified.

    Btw ignore captial letters Auto correct fml

    Whoever ordered the server in BHS whose status is "Pending", this is their reply:

    "We apologize for that delay and let me reassure you that your server should be delivered in less than 10 days. We've experienced a surge in orders after that promotion, which was very successful."

    Context is really important so we kinda need to see the question you sent them. Because:

    • The support rep might be talking about the original deal for the E5 V2 line (which clearly stated it was for the first three months only).
    • The support reps from the different regions might not always be completely in the loop about the specials running on the different regions websites.
    • This deal could only be found on the German site (ovh.de), this is a UK support rep.

    Further, what makes me believe this is a permanent price:

    • Again, the original deal stated clearly that it was for the first 3 months only, this deal did not.
    • Apparently from the other deal you had to agree to a contract about the 3 month deal, this deal there were no extra contract.
    • Nowhere on the page or during the order it stated anything about this deal being limited to the first three months. The other deal stated so even on the order confirmation.
    • You can renew the server for up to a year for the correct price.
    • This deal was actually limited in terms of quantity and didn't last as long or was as the other 3 month deal.
    • The price has been confirmed to be permanent by the DE twitter support (as i said above the info you got from the UK team might be because of the reasons stated above)
    • Someone said earlier in the thread that he heard from support that the machines will be decommissioned when cancelled.
    • The outgoing network is capped at 250mbps, this was not the case on the other deal as far as i can remember.

    I think this was just a way to move the last stock.

  • OVH's support on twitter helped me solved the validation support, my order is "being processed" now. Previously I mistakenly sent an email regarding this order to the kimsufi support, and they just replied "Currently there are no available servers (the type you ordered) in our datacenter. As soon as new servers will be installed there, one of them will be automatically assigned to you and you will be notified by an email.“

    OVH's twitter support person and Kimsufi support is way faster than OVH's ticket system!

    In case someone is interested, my order was in GRA.

  • Just contacted OVH about my server specifically, the GRA one from the link that was posted in here. They did indeed confirm that the price was a fixed price and not a 3month promotion deal. The people that are getting different responses must have ordered a another server under another promoton.

    Also called them regarding my GRA Server (German Support Line) and they said price wont change.

    I think the issue is other ovh region support don't know about this offer but why would they as it was only publicly advertised on the ovh German site.

    I think along as your ordered the right server you should be finr.

  • There was an option to pay for an entire year. Presumably those who selected that as their payment option will have their order honored.
