    Well, I can only speak for myself, but I figured the problem would have been solved after the maintenance that was done. I haven't moved anything of value to it yet anyway -- no matter, though:

    @CVPS_Chris said: As for LA1, I just dont know, doing migrations now since it can no longer be trusted hardware.

  • @mikehighend given that he stated he didn't really trust that particular node, I would assume he would be making arrangements to get everyone off once the new location(s) are ready.

  • I thought they already changed everyone at LA1 to new node according to an update. emm.. waiting for Chris to update

  • CVPS_ChrisCVPS_Chris Member, Host Rep

    We were going to but then decided to do a memory swap since that looked to be the culprit. I was wrong :( still doing it.

  • @wdq, you should diversify. Way too much Colocrossing/CVPS dependency in that provider mix you have.

  • @LAKid I meant that in a different context, but you didn't say anything bad. Anyway, I wish Chris the best of luck.

  • @CVPS_Chris so are you going to migrate clients in LA to new node or not?
    I thought it did happen, if not, when is ETA?
    Rather than giving us drip by drip, can you give us a whole schedule or picture?
    Got it Oct 30th, today is 12th, almost 2 weeks, can't use it.
    Not a criticism, just want to know when I can actually use it and do something with it.

    @LAKid -> Well, you got a 2GB VPS for $5/mo. - Normally a VPS plan like this goes for something like $40 everywhere else (considering it is OpenVZ) or it would be closer to $80 if it was Xen/KVM/VMWare or on Linode. In conclusion I would say that you got what you paid for, so be patient.

  • Buffalo node 9 is down.. or is it just me?

    Shame on you Chris :<

  • @Liam said: Just so everyone is aware, 'mikehighend' is Chris's other account.

    Really? Is that confirmed? It it's true then that's pretty sad...

    Answered my own question...

    @mikehighend said: Chris just said he would work closely with SolusVM, I think that's pretty good. Given his recent change of attitude I'm inclined to believe him. The worst thing that could ever happen is for information to be posted publicly.

  • @Liam said: Just so everyone is aware, 'mikehighend' is Chris's other account.

    @Liam that's a big lol. I don't want to be the "grammar police" but his English could use some polish:

    @mikehighend said: Not to point out the obvious, but maybe customers effected by the issues on CVPS LA1 should ask to be migrated to other LA nodes?

    I wonder why he needed to use another account to point out something like this.

    @jarland said: Is this a "busted" moment? ;)

    Please...

  • Where's that "Thanks" button when you need it :) If this is true it's just... no comment.

    @Liam Well in that case, Catalyst is about to get some awesome reviews! I kid ;)

    @CVPS_Chris said: Hey everyone.

    Colocrossing is great. I have over 100 servers with them and could not have been any happier the past few years. Premium bandwidth, premium data center, premium support. That is what Colocrossing offers and it shows.

    @Corey, seems to me like you were using ancient hardware, maybe upgrading in the future, this wouldnt happen.

    PS. I am so happy with them I am sending 15 machines to their new location to test out. :)

    @Corey, I do not work at Colocrossing, so we can wipe that off the slate. As for Mike, he is a long term client of Colocrossing as we have met in the past.

    @mikehighend said: ColoCrossing has been fantastic in my experience. The company which I work for develops and hosts back-ends for medical record keeping; and all of our hosting goes through ColoCrossing. I recommend them.

    Hopefully it's more reliable than the regular LEB offerings...

    @Liam said: Nah, I've known it for ages... He used it on LEB a while back.

    @Liam said: Chris don't lie. I can send you the IP logs if you really want.

    Lol, I noticed that too. Either those two people share the same computer or have some rotating IP's which means they both got the same IP which I guess could be possible.. but who am I to judge?

    @Jack it's a residential IP.

    Liam, as stated multiple time, Mike is a customer of Colocrossing, he has a business in the WNY area. I have been there numerous times and have logged into their wifi with my account on LEB and LET. Just because I have personal connections with people in this industry does not mean I have multiple accounts.

    If you have a problem with my story talk to Chief.

  • Just look at @mikehighend posting history. http://www.lowendtalk.com/profile/comments/2778/mikehighend Pretty obvious now when @Liam pointed out. It's either colocrossing either chicagovps guy which is more or less the same anyway.

    Just pointing out the obvious here, but why would someone in the medical industry be interested in this community and recommend chicagovps so often - or derail threads for chicagovps... etc......
    Even better question, why do they do the same thing for colocrossing?

    I've been screwed by someone in the server industry that was affiliated with the provider we were with but noone on WHT believed me. Now you go back and look his profile - and he has this provider in his signature saying that he works for them. Then you go back and look at our thread about the provider and you can see how obvious it was to us(since his signature is there now) ..... but to WHT people they refused to believe it.

    If I see another provider doing this I start going crazy just like I did when I got screwed when I was new to this industry.

    @Corey,

    Hosting is his hobby. Like stated he has space with Colocrossing, I directed him towards this community because he was sick of WHT and when he joined I told him the community was nice here and fun.

    So Im getting punished for referring more traffic, just hilarious.

  • I take an interest in tech companies based in Western NY. There is a lot of growth here as of late in those varying hosting related markets and I'm happy to share my experiences to see those entities prosper.

    I can link the thread where we got screwed... still haunts me today.... makes me not trust anyone.

    (Colocrossing or CVPS_Chris didn't screw me like these guys did.)
