And this discussion went on to SSDs how?
That was my fault.
Come on people, the rest of this thread is reserved for THE TRUTH.
1st day here?
Nope, just don't want this thread to get closed as well. Its the only one left
Hey what did I tell you folks
?
Colocrossing = CVPS. Chris and Jon are far more than friends. Word is they share office space.
My theory is that Colocrossing is setting folks up to run front VPS businesses. It is really their servers, BW and support on the backend.
Anyone been keeping track of VPS providers that have sprung up on Colocrossing-only locations?
Someone asked how old Chris is....
Chris and Jon from CC are both 23-24 years of age.
So he's 1 year older, yet another BS comment he came out with that had no backup.
I knew they had to do something with CC
So what?
http://www.colocrossing.com/company/case/studies - ChicagoVPS is on their list as a case study. Interesting read.
None of this info just appeared, it was there before if you really felt the need to find out the connection before this incident so not really sure of the point of bringing it up now.
@W1V_Lee That one piece of the puzzle that suddenly makes all the other pieces make sense.
@concerto49,
Funny read indeed:
has been providing a vast array of virtualized
hosting solutions for small business and personal
users since 2009. Their focus on low density (not
overloading)
Not overloading ehh? 100 VPS'es per node.
Tell you what, kids today.
Rest of this piece reads like tacky sales piece. Definitely not a case study.
Any rule about posting private messages?
As the old saying goes:
umad?

@ShardHost nope
Worth putting out (although some of it has been mentioned elsewhere) that Colocrossing's mailing address is Jon Biloh's mothers address (sort of). That address is a day care center operated out of a home. A business started 23 years ago.
That would be when Jon and Chris were newborns
Wondering if they were both in the daycare together?!?!
In 2010 Biloh bought the property. At least on paper.
Funny, cause records show Jon's mother holds the legal keys on things. Colocrossing is a D/B/A registered with state of NY as Velocity Servers:
http://appext9.dos.ny.gov/corp_public/CORPSEARCH.ENTITY_INFORMATION?p_nameid=3346490&p_corpid=3330827&p_entity_name=velocity&p_name_type=A&p_search_type=BEGINS&p_srch_results_page=3
Better Business Bureau has Linda being in charge here too:

D- rating from only one complaint... ehh not too useful.
@pubcrawler can you give up already?
These guys have been pulling a lot of crap over for eons.
Disingenuous to fraud depending on how polite you are.
Fake case studies. DBA front companies. Denying relationships. Running companies against their own customers. Who knows what else. Been some nasty threads over the years.
Plenty of normal business customers out here in the industry who don't have time to play cat and mouse games with children.
I dislike sales jockeys and money folks who abuse the workers and techies who run their otherwise sinking ships. Ditto for those unfairly competing with small companies.
All makes sense now why IPXCore went through ChicagoVPS to get into ColoCrossing's DC Space.
Maybe Shinkle can re-emerge with that vpsinchicago.com domain he bought from you @Jeffrey
Didn't know about the IPXCore via CVPS route... Uggh!
@pubcrawler haha yeah
CVPS offered us colo space before it was suggested that we try Colocrossing. I tried to get in contact with Jon to have IPXcore colo'd by Colocrossing directly, but despite repeated attempts via IRC, email, and phone, never got a response.
On the other hand, CVPS took very good care of us, once we got some growing pains out of the way. I still haven't found another colo offer in the same general price.
Weird stuff @Damian. Never met a provider that wasn't real quick and receptive about colo inquiries. Colo deals are expensive and long term. Low churn. Pretty profitable and predictable from the provider side.
There's actually quite a surprising amount that never responded to us.. I'd say about 40% of all inquiries I make never get a response.
@shardhost , all that I implied was that I was on ColoCrossings network. Nothing more than that.
Any statements re: the conspiracy theories?
Maybe one day. For now, Im saying that is all they are. "Conspiracy Theories". I dont really care what people think, as I find it amusing and laughable. This will be my last post on this thread.
