Last month i import quadcopter from china,
I got 2x of price item.
And some goods below 50usd, they mark up to 60-90usd. (
Urusannya ribet banget kalau mau nurunin harga sesuai harga beli,
Suruh nunggu di kantor bea cukai 1 jam, baru bisa nego sama bapak-bapak bea cukai.
pas nego juga suruh nunjukin macam-macam.
Total i waste on office Custom import 2 hours!!!
That is partly because China sellers often declare lower prices than the actual transaction value, precisely to lower import taxes on the buyer side. Earlier this year I bought a phone from dx.com, they put $5 value. Like, how do you expect the customs employee to believe it? Customs probably has their own index to match these undervalued prices. My tax was slightly higher than it should be, but I just didn't bother to complain for a couple of bucks.
my suggestion for now is to use Singapore server, such as DigitalOc* or Amazo*EC.
Don't bother to dig into Indonesian provider.
Another alternative is to run your own server at home/office with a BroadBand FO connection by IndiHome
Btw, if you need an IT freelancer guy to do VPN and networking stuff, I live in Jakarta and have plenty of time
Good job DX, lol
I brought my used (categorized as 2nd) items, like books, home appliances, etc apart that they are mine and used to be my companion for staying abroad for 2 years. They prohibited 2nd/used items from entering Indonesia. They asked documents of ownership, etc. which were literally nowhere, as those are just home appliances and books. I felt very disappointing, although the problem solved with 'bribing'.
So for used or 2nd items, you need a "special custom and tax" thing to declare. Gw disuruh baca pasal2 sekian2 kalau barang tersebut dilarang dan krn gw bawa dalam jumlah cukup banyak /omg
IMO they are securing import from China nowadays (heard from friends), even for new items like @DalComp said, they hold your items for 6 months or more. I hate teaching "tricks" but there are several things in doing this cheaper. Cara paling gampang hand-carry, lebih murah. tapi ada resiko juga. Jad mesti kenal orang custom bandara. (klo gak salah anak DWH ada yang spesialis dhe)
You'll know why some providers postponing their set date provisioning servers in Indonesia, right? (it might be the server are being hostage at Soekarno-Hatta hehhehe
Just wonder. Have anyone ever succeed in importing eBay 1u or 2u used servers?
lol
For better speed to Indonesia, you can get provider who host with telin. Telin based in sg, but the are sub-company of Telkom Indonesia.
The same reason BlackBerry canceled to build the factory in Indonesia. Google even has a representative office in Jakarta, padahal.
Rakuten, Japan has dominated some of the market in Indonesia. Japan has monopolized many large industries in Indonesia but there were balance between prosperity for the people and transfer of technology. However, Korean companies through Pak Domo are the reason why wage is very low in ID. Japan & EU have good regulation related to minimum wage and maximum wage, while in ID we have only minimum wage that barely enough for a single. Jadi curhat nich. Maklum, mantan buruh pabrik sepatu :P
indonesian custom is the best haha
Telkom network is suck, had many problem. and customer service not responsif.
Derailing thread... udah out of jalur.
Bantu sundul Aja gan, bawah ane Mano.
Oh really ? is it speedy works fine in almost every Indonesian cities ?
Indiehome is far better than speedy, but their cs just outsourced employee without network knowledge at all, even their installer just know how to crimping sama nyolok kabel
Indonesian language seems weird. Half something and half english. Kinda interesting
I believe Indonesian language is influenced by Dutch. I have been in Indonesia in the past two months, and I found the pronunciation of the alphabets is almost the same as German.
Newer generation don't speak Dutch anymore.
English + colloquial language you won't find in Google translate. i.e. "nyolok" = plug in, "nyolokin" = to plug in, "colokan" = plug, "colok" = pierce.
In Sundanese version "colokan" becomes "cocolok". "Raos" in Sundanese means delicious, tasty or delightful.
When we combine the two words, they become "cocolok raos". That, ladies and gentleman is a tool all men have that women wants ;P
the "new generation" they use "ciyus" "miapah LoL
do ngomong opo kuwi wk...
Better or worse than singlish? When i see ID tech/ISP websites i can sometimes read out what the page is basically about by just following the english words somehow, but with singlish i'm lost (good that no one uses that written though except in chat)
uh, might be but i, as native german speaker, have however zero idea how to even think about pronunciation of like such word constructs:
ngomong - nurunin - terdekat
If you're not indonesian just becareful, puting your server at SG is your best bet at the moment, until you got better understanding of the local indonesian situation.
Most indonesian speak with slang language, it is in our nature to mix various language, most indonesian born with minimum 2 language to master, indonesian & their local language, if you need a multiple language talent, find indonesian
It has different style. Bahasa Indonesia is a blend of many languages mostly from trading with other nations, while locally there are slang specific for certain local region.
From India we adopted many Sanskrit words such as:
Eka = one, dwi = two, gajah = elephant, hayam (ayam) = chicken, satria/ksatria =warrior, dharma = deeds, dana = funds, Laksmana = Admiral, and thousands more.
From Arab we adopted thousands of words such as
salam = greetings, admiral (emir al bahr) = admiral, haram = forbiden, halal = allowed (kosher), hakim = judge, hukum = law, etc.
From China we adopted many words such as:
tahu = tofu, kecap = soy sauce, bakso (baso) = meatball, bakmi = noodle soup, tauco = fermented soya bean, tauge (toge) = bean sprout, and hundreds more adopted into local language such as: lu = you, gua (gue) = me, pangkeng = room.
From Portugal we adopted some words such as:
bendera = flag, kemeja = shirt, Tuan Jesus (later becomes Tuhan Jesus) = Lord Jesus, meja = table, and many more.
From Dutch we adopted many words such as:
asbak = ash tray, knalpot = muffler, sleting (rits sluiting) = zipper, korslet/konslet (kort sluiting) = short circuit, lap =cloth, etc.
We dont use the "verb to be" so to some of us "is, am, are, was, were" are a little bit confusing.
Here are some of the construct using "ter" to express superlative
dekat = near, ter+dekat = closest
besar = big/large, ter+besar = largest
berat = heavy, ter-berat = heaviest
Nyimak gan, kali aja masuk ujian semester Bahasa Indonesia nanti....kaborr...
