@BronzeByte, I was referring to this
@Spirit, yay!
I think I should've added a smiley :P
I laughed, momentarily...
@jacob
It was just a joke, I wasn't serious, please dont kill meeeeeeh
It's K, you're spared, for now...
Migration done since today morning
I saw, very well done. Smooth migration.
Just 2 failed HDDs and a few issues with the Webhosting loadbalancer, timeframe was just extended by 2hours (~) so yea i'd say it was smooth as well
Here's some serverporn (some KVM nodes):

Dang, there goes my latency
Isn't this above a bit strange route between .hr and .at?
For me is pretty much the same.
/happy panda
A bit strange? It's horrible! Obviously it has nothing to do with Edis, I got used to being routed through Frankfurt for everything. But the last time I checked, Graz was routed properly.
/rant
The same way I feel regarding Prometeus. So close.. just a bit across the boarder but routed through Frankfurt to get 50 ms. Terrible.
And yes, Graz was awesome for me too. Almost like local ISPs
Latency seems a bit slower as well from here...
I'm in Budapest and everything goes via Frankfurt.
@vedran Still better than what I get to a server in the closest major city to me. (I'm around 2 miles from the city limits)
It was 14ms away until the DC dropped the rr link.
And yes, Graz was awesome for me too. Almost like local ISPs
Send me the AS of your ISP and a traceroute, just to see. I had the hope to add another upstream at cd lan, but commit required on 10G ports aren't cheap and while at some point we were close to a deal with tinet (intelliquent), their upper management didn't approve my request to resell direct transit with them (as we can do with sparkle and level3), so I didn't approve the go :-(
You need to wait 2-4 weeks.
First, Retn has not all prefixes whitelisted on all peers yet.
Second, our VIX port is still pending.
Third, more upstreams are pending as well (if you have recommendations i still have 3 uplink ports free in InterXion)
I can't fix @verdran however, T-com/Deutsche Telekom/DTAG does not peer with anyone and their transit is very expensive.
Aorta if they are there
Aorta, i.e. the other name for UPC? I doubt edis even want to hear about them again, ever
aparently telia has a direct peering with deutsche telekom in vienna.
80.91.255.135 telia vienna looking glass source ( http://looking-glass.telia.net )
217.239.38.165 deutsche telekom looking glass source ( https://s-lga1.s.de.net.dtag.de/index.php?pageid=traceroute )
so you "just" have to peer with telia or another provider which has a telia uplink in vienna.
Telia is Tier1 and does not peer, they also charge over our budget.
Aorta = UPC = Never again. No single chance, even if it would be the cheapest and last left carrier in the world.
Hope that my internet provider kabel bw, which recently was bought by LGI (aka UPC), doesn't change their routing to the LGI AS like they did with unitymedia.
ISP which don't peer on public internet exchanges (like UPC or Deutsche Telekom) are a nightmare for DSL and cable customers. Of course the typical facebook user doesn't care...
They will, you and all other customers will be migrated into AS6830.
How do you know that? Please don't.
Because that is what LGI always does, see UPC HU/SK, Cablecom Switzerland and all others that got bought.

Only CZ seemed to keep some independence:

isn't VM a new one like the German purchase?
Probably was not migrated for now then.
Oh wow ... You win
I'm amazed that there's just 10 hops between my desktop in Atlantic Canada and my Edis VM in Vienna.....
You could fly there with less stopovers!
Just barely...
Really? I can fly from Adelaide in South Australia to Vienna with a single stop over in Dubai! :-)
