All I do is take rsync files in, and then throw them at an S3 target, that's why all the bandwidth is needed

    :(

Does a MTR show where all the latency is by chance?

  • @MarkTurner said:
Definite false positive, even my network stats provided by them showed no traffic

Sounds like @shayr who had <4GB in two months. Regardless proves my point, thanks.

I'll never use them after my experience.

I'd run an MTR but checking again now it's more in line with what other people posted -- no weird latency, good download, but still very bad upload:

  • I 've had this upload speed issues two weeks ago in DC 4 Room 4 Line A.
Support was useless. They just kept saying it is not their fault. "Online.net Network is fine and stable. No issues."

Luckily the problem was gone another day and did not come back yet. Fingers crossed.

  • Same problem here in Line K.
It's weird that if you open multiple speedtest at same time, they will all report a 20-30Mb outbound and you can see a total of 140-150Mb outbound with iftop
    lol

Their support is horrible and arrogant. I'm glad more people are finally realizing.

  • Noticed some improvement today. At least for me.

I see unknown issues in the DC3, Room: 3

online.net support is bad. It is obvious a network problem, but they do not want to solve or even investigate it... But I do not expect much for 30 euro.

    Someone could setup that:

Just found it on Youtube, collect that for a few Days and drop them a Ticket.

When i have time, i will setup that on my Box.

You're way too dumb to administer a server, where does it say they don't want to investigate? They ask you specific information in the 2nd reply (mtr both ways and iperf), but you just sit there and stare at your pretty graph.

I'd been requested the same thing . I showed them the packet loss in mtr and they gave a shit

Well, time to Login and Terminate the Limited Box.

  • On 2 of my boxes i've had strange issues where eth0 randomly goes down and up, but a power off and boot up using ilo fixed it. Switch issue on their side? Bad network card?

No clue but it sure was strange!
