    In stock only in Buffalo

    Yeah, it doesn't work.

  • lowend derailment.

  • @24khost said: lowend derailment.

That's what we're good at :D Sorry dude.

  • I expect it! lol!

  • @gsrdgrdghd said: You think the IO is low?

I'll show you low (same VPS):

You're completely wrong, there's absolutely no problem at all whatsoever. (I pointed out something similar to them, they told me that I was completely wrong, and showed me some results on a different partition as root)

  • @Damian true, it's much better now :)

    10 requests completed in 22986.5 ms, 1 iops, 0.0 mb/s
    min/avg/max/mdev = 7.3/1398.6/13313.9/3972.0 ms

For some reason sometimes it works fine but when i haven't used the VPS for some minutes it goes to crap again. Maybe by VPS is being completly swapped?

  • @gsrdgrdghd can you tell me where to find those scripts you ran? I will test them on my $12/y one as well

    wget http://ioping.googlecode.com/files/ioping-0.6.tar.gz
    tar xzvf ioping-0.6.tar.gz
    cd ioping-0.6
    make
    ./ioping -c 10 .

I recommend to try the test after 10-15 minutes of inactivity on the VPS (after compiling)

  • @24khost said: I guess I will keep watching @FTNChris for a couple of more weeks as have seen a few to many bad reviews latley. All be it you fixed the issues after they posted on WHT.

not to be rude but why do you care?

  • As I said I want to use one of the big ones that is around here and wanted to go with them but seems that there might be some issues with it so I will just keep my eye on it.

Something wrong with your own servers, why not use your own?

Sorry but this stinks of one host bashing another while pretending not too.

    Free advertising for urpad.

  • I know a lot of other hosts who buy other host's vps's. Is there a problem with me asking @AnthonySmith? Was looking at buying one to play with and then saw a negative thread and I know it was active being given away here only a few months ago as apart of LET promotion. looking at moving my billing system from Turnkeyinternet vps to one of thiers. Is it a problem to ask?

How the hell do I put this into code?

imo yes it is, what you have done is started a thread and thrown in your own negative elements then invited more.

As a host you 'should' know better than to lay out troll bait.

If you are serious then I am sure @FTNChris will step up the the plate and offer you a cooling off period if you find any issues with his big one?

    :)

  • Well @AnthonySmith there is a statement I once heard.

Opinions are like assholes, Everyone has one and everyone elses stinks.

  • AnthonySmithAnthonySmith Member, Patron Provider

@24khost you will find stupid fake or unfair one sided reviews about every host if you look hard enough, some are even the first result in google:

    http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:tLl4O87yjaYJ:www.iwipo.com/1628/24khost_com_review_bad_host_never_go_with_them/+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk

As a host you should know better than to start this sort of thread essentially asking for dirt.

You started off saying it was for testing now its for your billing system (Although why you would put that on an OpenVZ system that you don't have any direct control of security of is beyond me), so yeah I don't believe your intentions are harmless here.

Saying it like I see it.

  • I listen to what is being said in this thread and it sounds like some people are having good experiences and some have not had such good experiences. Though I do have to say that @FTNChris did a pretty good job of customer service per how he handled that issue on WHT. Just still undecided. So I guess we will be watching a little more before buying.

For reference my Special and my iceland box are and always have been running great.

  • Well right now we are on Xen and just looking to go with what we use on our own, but offsite. Urpad was from what I understood a quality host, but there have been a few issues lately from the looks of it. I guess another host can't ask about another host without it being considered a dig.

  • Thank @Jack! By the way your hosting was great while I used it.

  • @sandro @arieonline your results look fine, looks like it is a problem with my VPS/hostnode/location. @FTNChris is it possible to have the VPS recreated in another location?

  • what is the normal/acceptable result of ioping?

  • good to hear that is looks like @gsrdgrdghd issues may get solved.

@jack - Oh right, next you will be telling me I am sleeping with Kevin too :)

  • Besides Anthony does anyone else see a problem with me asking.

Yes. This comes from a person who has had multiple terrible experiences with urpad, too.

  • LeeLee Veteran

Personally I don't care, but then whilst my services with them run well that's the way it should be :)
