My ISP uses cogent, so mine goes MTY - COGENT - GTT - COLOCROSSING

That's why I have good ping

That's the route from QP Atlanta to CC Buffalo

Why does it goes thru Toronto ? On top of that, 70% packet loss here...

Speeds to i3d.net have been fixed. They have a broken session to Hibernia which was causing the slow speeds on their end.

I'll look into Quick Packet now.

QuickPacket is a direct customer of Hibernia through the end of the month, then we're dropping them from our mix. We've already turned down the inbound routes from Hibernia because of the issues and are using them for select outbound routes only. We are turning up PCCW to replace them, and likely one other carrier (to be determined).

I think they're primarily Hibernia, Cogent & HE. At least those are the 3 routes I see the most

  • qpsqps Member, Host Rep

jbiloh said: What carriers are in your network currently?

In Atlanta, we use Cogent, Hibernia, and the TSS mix (which includes Zayo, GTT, Cogent, Hibernia, and AtlantaIX peering). PCCW will hopefully be online next week. PCCW is having delays in sourcing the proper DWDM optics from their vendor, which has resulted in significant delays in turning up our connections.

Jon replied to my ticket @ CC portal.

It seems Hibernia is having issues, and he's in touch with the Senior Network Staff to fix this for once. The communication between me and CC has been great.

I can't resist to comment something further:

    • I have a server from CC that had issues with the NIC. CC staff worked on it all night.
Ryan, Nicholas and Zack. I must say that their support is top noutch. The only bad thing I see on CC, is definitely the network. I've never seen it performing it well, and I am being very honest.

Let's see how it goes, at least they're putting all their effort to solve this matter.

Anyway, kudos for @ CC team.

The specific destinations where the speeds are slow is because Softlayer, Colo@, etc, utilize Hibernia just as we do, and there seems to be some slowness in their network right now. I am discussing this with their senior management currently and feel pretty confident that the issue will get resolved this week.
