    Depends the level of privacy you need and how you define offshore but a VPS with a company you trust and your own mail system (easy to set up following a guide or installing a solution created to make it easy) sounds like your best bet if you don't want to spend too much on it. Or a dedicated with full disk encryption if you consider you might feel better that way.

    The remaining question is: who can you trust. And that's a tough one. I found no answer yet that seems really better than trusting any well known host with my data.

  • I've found the answer. There is no one who you can trust. Sad but true.

    All email services have their good and bad points. You just have to live with it sadly.
