Sure you know how to SSH into a box, but can you do it on a cold rainy night in stoke?

Yes as I have a phone with 4G/HSPUA/3G. So yes... but if stoke does not have 4G yet. like my local borough that has more then 80% of coverage. would rarther avoid going to stoke.

I actually remember being stuck in stoke on several occasions. Not a very nice situation to be in.

But on a serious note my skill set. I am more then capable of being able to SSH into a server.

Alright - tag me out of this.
I was misunderstood as said - but I still respect ClamHost.

    (I'm staying neutral on this)

WAF and Arbor has held up great during this thread. Please at least learn how to DoS or DDoS depending if you are a real skid or not.

then my advice would be you should have canceled the service and requested refund if applicable. no point keeping a service that does not suit your needs ;)

Never used Awknet for DDoS Mitgation for ClamHost Clients. so that is a complete lie. seems you haven't used ClamHost then. Your name I do recall I think and if that is the case it was not a year ago it was a couple of months ago when we used Psychz and you got a UDP Flood that leaked through (UDP is Hard to Mitigate). we don't use Psychz neither do we use Awknet. we use GlobalFrag now and have done for the past 3 months. GlobalFrag uses Blacklotus for their DDoS Mitigation.

I'm Sorry that ClamHost offers DDoS Mitigation Free of Charge with all our services and you come here and Moan about a Free Included Service....

The fact that we include a Product that can cost from $100 to $2,000 on average. that most other providers charge $3 for per IP or up to $25 a IP or even up to $2,000m/o as that is the Price tag of the DDoS Mitigation we use.

Don't know what your talking about either. we have DDoS Mitigation and it works fine. Do I seriously have to pull up my contacts on Skype and get people to verify this.

In fact we have access to better Protection then Staminus and OVH with SSDP Attacks being mitigated within a second and IMCP Floods within a couple of attacks. and some different types of floods can take up to 3 minutes for the Filtering to redirect your IP.

This was already epxlained in a previous response it works better when it's set to Auto Redirect when a Flood Occurs. as it avoids false positives. I have seen the risk first hand when we have the filtering inline. People start getting blocked randomly.

You sir know nothing about DDoS Mitigation then because the fact is that. DDoS Attacks can be complex and vary with some Attacks needing ACLs or the filtering pattern changed for that specific client. As everyone runs different applications and some vary if that application uses TCP or UDP. for all we know if you did use our service maybe you got a L7 Flood or a UDP Flood.

But if your going to purchase from a Provider don't expect a DDoS Protected Host to Protect you against 100% of Floods unless you actually contact them. It's as simple as that.... And not order hit it with floods yourself and then blame the provider for it. Because if you are indeed the same person. When your service got activated it was getting flooded within minutes. So your buying services hitting it with a UDP Flood and some of that UDP would might leak in your case it was a couple of 100Mbps but not enough to cause a problem.

As the OP said in the first thread he had no issues with the DDoS Mitigation.

Yes I am but given circumstances it is better that I post under this name from now on on LET.

That is completely irrelevant so go away. I know your in with Chris now as he pulls that up all the time. How is it a crime to register to a lot of booters to test out DDoS Mitigation or to test out the Strength of a Booter or what ever the Purpose. as long as it's not used to hit random networks. No crime was committed or any wrong doing.

And what surprise exactly that I don't intend to Attack People so why would I write my own scripts or rent multiple machines out you Moron to send out Attacks when a booter for a couple of $ can actually help with some situations.

So get off your High Horse and grow up.

Who is Chris? This came up when I googled your nickname.

jmckeag12 said: How is it a crime to register to a lot of booters

Who said it was a crime? I certainly didn't, I just mentioned that you are signed up kiddy DDoS tools.

jmckeag12 said: to test out the Strength of a Booter

Sure that's what you did ;-) Everyone believes you that you just used it to test ClamHosts DDoS protection.

  • ClamHost? Never heard of them - have you ever thought about OVH (yes, I said OVH)?

They provide decent DDOS protection for a pretty decent price.
