If you're hosting GitLab, why not add GitLab CI (for free?)
great! I got activated and finally I found time to try it out first time with observium!
Can I order more than one?
(and get more than one wildcard certificate?)
Can anyone give me a hint how I can deinstall the ovservium daemon? I used this tutorial: https://www.sonicboxes.com/observium-client-install-script/
It only installs the packages snmpd on Debian and net-snmp on CentOS, so I think you can just purge that.
Was activated yesterday, GitLab is running great, just like the Observium instance. Waiting on my SSL certificate and Dedicated IP now :-)
@0xdragon
Looking at ordering one, just a question: I would like to white list the IP of the Observium server in my nodes using iptables - would that work?
Yes it would, I'm working on rewriting an existing script to do this.
If I may ask out of curiosity since I haven't gotten my Observium processed and can't experiment, how much RAM does an SNMP daemon take with regular distro packages?
Couple of MB, but I can't deploy your Observium if I'm replying to posts here
I think that was my last question.
Thanks 0x! You're definitely awesome in my books.
Not sure why there's a need for a script, you just need to share the IP address(es) of your Observium server so that I can white list them.
What about those who already signed up few days ago for $6 ??
I was about to ask LET for a WildCrad SSl ... Can I get one??
There is no need for a script, just mentioning that I'm working on automating it for you
Just ping your Observium install and that's the IP you need to whitelist.
Hmm what is this wildcard ssl I missed :P
Yo @0xdragon, can you check invoice 160 and let me know if there is a problem with it? My workmate wants an instance too.
It's been pushed to the back of the queue due to invalid signup details. I always push through first those who have valid details, and deal with the other ones later (opening a ticket requesting correct ones).
PM me what is wrong and I will see if I can get it fixed up for you.
Done. :-)
All fixed, awesome support as always.
Is the wildcard still available for the Observium plan?
Not anymore, unfortunately. It was a limited special. You can still get it on the GitLab plan.
Privacy concern: Can you view my source code if I grab your GitLab plan?
Look, if you're that concerned about privacy of your source code, you might want to consider choosing a dedicated server
However, I do take security very seriously and have taken steps to ensure that nobody can view your source code except you. And yes, in the end it comes down to trust. Same with any other provider, and anything that isn't hosted in your own home.
Thanks!
Thanks
Thanks a lot for your great support> @0xdragon
My observium working blazing fast
This is awesome, however coupon TAKEONE seems to have run out?
Totally offtopic but I don't want to open a thread for something unimportant like this:
I noticed something strange. I added a dedi with Debian 7 to my Observium and it detected it as an Debian installation. Then I reinstalled it (with the same image) and now it only shows as generic linux 32bit:
Does anyone know why this happended?
If the dollar means a lot to you, feel free to open a ticket or PM me here and I'll add another use for you.
It's probably just Observium. Did you remove then add the server after re-installing?
@0xdragon yeah I deleted it, installed it and readded it then
