    I hear upNetwest have some good offers on :P

  • I have one VPS. Just one it hosts one site. Probably a site no one has ever heard of even. It is with VMPort.

    OpenVZ 256 (512 Burst) 2.40 GBP

  • Does it wear thick, black glasses and sport a beret? Perhaps ironically?

  • I have 3 BuyVM OpenVZ 128s. Hosting 2 sites on one, and using the 3rd for wordpress stuff.

    Well thats unfortunate, I expected more customers to originate from this forum.

    Why not point your clients to this forum? :)

    I realize that "asking for reviews" has always been a gray area but if a poster is honest and states that he or she was pointed here and if they're receiving anything in return, I've never had an issue with it.

  • @dmmcintyre3 how do you get vpses for free? (As stated in your opening post)
    And how does freevps.us work?

  • @djvdorp said: @dmmcintyre3 how do you get vpses for free? (As stated in your opening post)

    I get a lot of sponsored VPSs for FreeVPS.us

    @djvdorp said: And how does freevps.us work?

    Read http://freevps.us/page-requirements.html

    Since its Christmas I felt kinda bad for you so I tried to sign up for a S02 in Phoenix but out of stock. Chat person said I was out of luck.

    Hard for us to sign up if you don't have stock :)

  • @EaseVPS said: Well thats unfortunate, I expected more customers to originate from this forum.

    You actually have to have stock so people can become a customer ;)
    Secondly the amount of people posting on this forum would only be a fraction of the amount of people who view / browse LEB/LET.

    Regards,

    .Joel

    @Mon5t3r

    The client is only telling half of the story, He was engaging In ilegal activity and we had three DDOS Attacks originating from his VPS which caused some network connectivity issues but luckily it didn't max out our Gbit line.

    When the client mentions the 46 VPSs on both nodes, He was being transfered back and forth from node to node because of the consistant attacks which he thought it was a issue with the node at first but we later found out different.

    He asked howmany VPSs was being hosted on the (Two) nodes he was being transfered back and forth to and one of our reps said 46 Combined between both nodes.

    Each nodes hardware is at Minimum: Intel Xeon E3-1230.

    dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=4k conv=fdatasync
    4096+0 records in
    4096+0 records out

    HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK
    Length: 104857600 (100M) [application/octet-stream]
    Saving to: `/dev/null'

    100%[====================================>] 104,857,600 65.4M/s in 1.5s

    2011-12-26 09:03:37 (65.4 MB/s) - `/dev/null' saved [104857600/104857600]

    The results are directly from one of our "Full" Phoenix nodes, New nodes will be delivered on 27Th.

    I will make sure one of the team comment on that thread within the next 48 Hours.

    The client was also terminated for affecting other VPS neighbours and not resolving these attacks as we are not a DDOS Protected Provider.

    Hahaha. You lose, 0.

    Sorry, did you say i DDoSed from my server?
    I was hosting a single .tar.gz file on an apache server and an irc server.
    If there were any ddos's it was probably the ircd getting attacked.

  • @TomM I see they didn't bother to reply to your WHT post. Did you get any notification from them at all about the abuse, or just a termination without warning?

  • @Aldryic I was told it was going to get terminated.

    @Aldryic
    @TomM
    The client was given a VZDump of his container prior to termination we also given a decent amount of time for the client to transfer out.
    I do not believe tom would purposely get his VPS attacked but this was the situation and a decission had to be made.

  • Jesus Christ you guys have a lot of LEBs! I currently just have 1 at the moment, but I'm thinking to get another, really cheap one, for some experimenting.

    One question tho: How do all you guys get those free VPSes?

  • And now it looks like the prices have gone up. All the plans have changed (at least the price has) Am not interested anymore.

    Looks like some stock opened up.

  • @luma
    The plans have changed, VPSs now Include Automatic TUN / PPP Modules enabled, 4 Cores @ 3.2Ghz on all Plans, Full 1Gbit burst of bandwidth.

    Also every VPS now has backups Included on the new VPS Plans and you can restore the backups at anytime.
