@Christian
How long do you have Edis VPS in Austria and now pleased are you with it?
I have a VPS on their German node. Everything is great, however vServer has some stupid limitations.
@Christian I bought a VPS from edis, when they were feautered first time on LEB so back in March this year. Since then my VPS had no downtime. The VPS is fast accross Europe and in general it is performing really well. If I have to say a bad thing about them I would mention that linux v-server virtualization is kinda worrying me. Linux v-server is not supporting tun/tap module, iptables, GRE and some other things and you also can't reboot the VPS from SSH(you actually have to reboot it via the control panel). So if you're considering buying a VPS from them choose KVM
1 x QualityServers 600 MB XEN (UK)
1 x UptimeVPS 1 GB OpenVZ (DE)
Actually you can with reboot -f
Some virtualization types don't like that i.e. the container doesn't reboot properly.
Update since my last time reporting in:
1 ThrustVPS 512MB ($5.95/month)
1 ThrustVPS 1GB ($6.90/month with promo code)
1 SemoWeb 256MB ($3/month)
3 BuyVM 128MB
1 BuyVM 512MB
1 AlienVPS 192MB (Not actually using right now, might become my primary monitoring VPS though)
1 ChicagoVPS 2GB (Not using, will probably become a minecraft server though)
1 eNetSouth 2GB (Not using)
All OpenVZ, of course.
2 BuyVM 128MB ($15/year)
10 123systems 192MB ($15/year)
1 TinyVZ 128MB ($15/year)
1 BuyVM 1024MB ($12.95/month - not a LEB)
Soon a hostigation backup VPS
The 123systems boxes were for an earlier project that's finished. I was planning to keep a couple of them when they're up for renewal in January, but they've not been particularly reliable. Slow I can deal with - not being up or reachable I can't.
1 x BuyVM (US) 128MB OpenVZ ($15/year) - backup/openvpn. >6 months = Great! (Especially with free backup space).
1 x Hostmist (DE) 512MB XEN ($7/month) - production. >6 months = Great!
1 x UptimeVPS (FR) 128MB OpenVZ ($5/year with coupon) - openvpn. >1 month = No downtimes so far, fast.
1 x UptimeVPS (FR) 384MB OpenVZ ($4/quarter) - sandbox. >1 month = No downtimes so far, fast.
---------
Past experience:
1 x NordicVPS (DE) 512MB OpenVZ ($5.95/month) - production. >6 months = Was very good, but was down for couple of days during transfer, so leaved me no chance to stay, I've heared it's solid now.
---------
By the way, I also use DE based shared hosting for 2 years for daily backups, costs me $1/month for 6GB space with great uptime!
You brought a nuke to a knife fight.
>
Actually you cannot
I only have two, but I'm new to this LEB thing.
One BuyVM 128mb $15/yr (works great)
One TinyVZ 128mb $15/yr (works, but not as great)
At the risk of a bit of a thread hijack, what do you guys with bunch of LEB's use them for?
Mainly we use it for idling
Actually we have a thread about that:
http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/309/what-do-you-do-with-your-leb
Probably more than one actually. I'm sure the last two forums had them as well.
