Considering how many users can be on one MySQL server if properly tuned this is a nobrainer as well.

We've been doing this for a long time, it's just that people prefer coupons/cheaper prices than nice features
It's far more fun to code & deploy big projects like backups, etc, than just chopping a buck off the price.

Not really, i just stated what everyone knows anyway - Everyone does such things currently to acquire more space, i sold some 128 IP VPS at 15EUR as well.
Being a long time 128M user, I feel like a second class citizen.
Anyway, good promotion.
128MB's are getting a facelift soon in the form of improved SSD caching and us moving those nodes off the (E|L)5520's that are in all of them.
We'll probably include snapshots in those as well but not nightly backups.
Really, it's $3.50/month ($35/year) and you get nightly's, SSD's, & lots of extra's.
