  • @Starwind says it'll be fixed soon... :)

  • Is their VPS manage control panel down?

I just got mine but I can't log into it

    WTF...

    :80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK

    Saving to: `100mb.test.1'

    100%[======================================>] 104,857,600 16.0M/s in 6.3s

    2012-06-19 14:27:19 (15.8 MB/s) - `100mb.test.1' saved [104857600/104857600]

From Italy... I did the test again I thought was some mistake first time.
This is top connectivity, few LEBs I have for money match that.

You see I'm not that lucky? LOL
well.. 10 MB/s is somewhat sub par, not mentioning few others with 50-100MB/s IO
but since it's free nothing to complain about. :) perhaps someone is abusing the node or it's just the HDD is different for every node.

    I see 16.

PS or you were about IO ? That is seriously subpar, not somewhat... these days inet is faster than IO...

    Yep it's the I/O.
somewhat subpar for a free service, is what I meant.
    As you said,

Hehe. It's better than nothing, I'd say. :)

So far I am impressed. I am grinding it through Kloxo install to see if my earlier recommendation in another thread will hold water. So far looks much better than I expected.

  • Just did an rm -rf / by accident lol. Now it wont boot or restart or reinstall.

It never happened to me, but I can imagine wanting to do for example rm -rf /opt and hit enter too soon.

/ontopic It works very well. It happened to me to pay for far worse services. I recommend it for anything that doesnt need 24/7 uptime since this is the only thing I couldnt verify yet.
And, of course, can fit in those resources.

what @Maounique said, did an tab to fill in the path srv but the connection got a hickup and it did it on /
    :(

  • @djvdorp said: what @Maounique said, did an tab to fill in the path srv but the connection got a hickup and it did it on /

iirc you can create a file at / that will prevent such errors.

Node 9 has been offline for many days, probably ceased to exist.

How do you know it is down ? Maybe it just pretends to be, my VM was playing dead for 2 hours or so, even tho i was logged in doing stuff. It was still offline and stats were saying error.
It is on node 10 tho.

My VPS on node 9 seems to have come back online yesterday.. you should check yours, it's probably up and running as well...

  • Hey fellas,

Everything (except node 12, because of users migration) seems to be quite stable now.

Do you still have any issues regarding other nodes? Some feedback please :-)

Thank you for being with us!

Node 4 seemed to have dropped off this morning. Although i'm not sure how long it was down for as i've only just managed to get round to rebooting the instance.

On the whole i've been pretty impressed with the service, haven't had much trouble with node 4, especially considering it's free.

    Node 9 works again, thanks..
