@onidel did I miss the announcement that storage VPS and object storage are now available in Sydney as well as Singapore? The website doesn’t show me they are?
I don't think we'll be offering anything below 1 TB
Thanks for the suggestion regarding bandwidth usage. We are actually considering not counting inbound traffic for Storage VMs.
yes it is recurring discount
tested from a node in Vietnam just now and got 178MiB/s. there is no network speed limit on the s3 gateway endpoint (at least for now).
yes 👍 we do not want customers to be unhappy, so we'll try to work things out, but in the worst case, we can provide refund as account credits.
we've had quite a few cases where customers asked for a refund because the IP wasn't "native". While this isn't technically refundable under our ToS, we've still issued refunds in those cases.
unless someone is clearly abusing the service or asking for something unreasonable, there's really no good reason not to refund if the service isn’t usable for the customer.
that said, if you really want to have an "native" IP address or want to use a specific IP range, please consider using Reserved IP to save a bit of time for both parties
the website only has Singapore atm - https://onidel.com/services/object-storage
we'll update the website in the next couple of days.
I've replied your ticket. You can also DM me if it's more convenient
hello, will upgrades (increase storage later on) stick to the current pricing?
^ this guy benches
upgrade will be charged at the price in effect at the time of upgrade.
AU - SG route has been so bad lately 😩
It'll sort itself out once IndigoWest is back up (~April ETA for fix

no double bandwidth promo?
no, only double RAM price if you'd like
What I’m seeing here is 20% off . BOX-1 is 36.00 USD/year. Provide code
Can you do block storage sale too? I love those block storage
LG Singapore doesn't work. Said "Request timed out. ( A paramiko SSHException occurred during connection creation: Error reading SSH protocol banner[Errno 104] Connection reset by peer )"
Can you handle the ticket?

Just ordered 1 object storage last night to get the promo. So, I have 1 VM using Genoa for app, 1 VM using Turin for db, 1 storage bind to VM for backup, and 1 Object Storage to replace the old one from other provider.
Nice to use your service @onidel
More likely mid-Feb. Fault #3 is being fixed now which is earlier than scheduled (April) due to a boat becoming available.
Fault #2 off the coast of Perth will be the last one remaining.
So every storage box sort of gives better value as you go up. Except Box 4. Its exactly double the price of Box 2 but no double NVMe
I love @onidel
Buuuuuuuuuuut
I MUST be honest
I’m very against pre-defined storage limits for S3. It’s the perfect product for usage based billing. No product is better suited for usage based billing than S3
Usually I'd agree, but $2.50 is $2.50 per TB. I feel like you can't complain about it at this price
i can enable usage based billing for you at normal rate
reserved capacity always get better rate :P
I liked you better when you were lying.
Using 2TB S3 since they prelaunch in Dec 2025.
So far so good, my local NAS backup weekly to s3 while my various linux DB backup daily.
Last check, all files are uploaded correctly to respective bucket although i'm lazy to do a recovery test.
I would love usage based billing that deducts from balance with no minimum storage (like AWS S3) at normal rates.
