Onidel | Sydney & Singapore | Storage VM | Object Storage | 50% OFF | 24HRS ONLY
G'day!
We are running a 24-hour promo for Storage VM and Object Storage in Singapore and Sydney!
This was originally planned for Sydney only, but we expect plenty of questions about transferring between the two locations - so to keep things simple, we are opening it up to both.
Before we get into the details, let me introduce Kip, our beloved mascot, unboxing your promo 🎁 Thanks @fluffernutter for the awesome artwork!

Storage VM - 50% off annually
Our Storage VMs are backed by NVMe block storage for the root disk and HDD block storage for the data disk, all powered by Ceph with triple replication to ensure high availability, strong data durability, and data integrity.
BOX-1 - $33/yr
1 vCPU | 1 GB RAM | 20 GB NVMe | 1000 GB HDD | 1 TB @ 1Gbps

BOX-4 - $114/yr
2 vCPU | 2 GB RAM | 20 GB NVMe | 4000 GB HDD | 4 TB @ 1Gbps

Object Storage - 50% off annually ($2.50/TB/mo)
Our object storage is S3-compatible, with unlimited ingress and 3x egress included. To simplify management and integration, we provide bucket-scoped credentials, so there's no need to manage policies manually if you want to segregate access control between buckets.
Features such as CORS, lifecycle rules, and static website hosting can be configured directly from the control panel, and custom domains are fully supported as well.

FAQ
Q: Can I transfer the service between locations?
A: Unless explicitly stated at the time of order, services cannot be transferred between locations.
Q: Can I upgrade my object storage?
A: Yes, you can upgrade at any time. Any additional capacity will be charged on a pro-rated basis at the rate in effect at the time of the upgrade.
Q: How can I use my custom domain?
A: Please refer to this knowledge base article: KB
Q: Does bandwidth usage include inbound or outbound traffic?
A: Both inbound and outbound traffic count toward your bandwidth usage. We also offer bandwidth pooling, so if you have multiple VMs within the same region, their bandwidth allocations can be combined into a single pool and shared across all VMs.
Q: What happens if my bandwidth usage exceeds the allocation?
A: For VMs, network speeds will be throttled to 5 Mbps upload and 5 Mbps download. For object storage, excess bandwidth will be charged at $0.01 per GB.
Q: What are the object storage service limits?
A: The service supports up to 100 buckets, 1000 concurrent connections and 3 million objects per bucket by default. The object limit can be increased by opening a support ticket.

Can I ask for a austrilia native ip?
You can order a Reserved IP, which allows you to select a specific subnet for $3/month, billed on an hourly basis.
upupup
The traffic is too little
Object storage discount didn't show up on your site.
@onidel object storage in SG is showing 20% off instead of 50% yearly
fixed!
What I’m still seeing here is 20% off; it hasn’t been fixed. BOX-1 is 36.00 USD/year.
Are there any traffic restrictions on these storage VPS?
Object Storage - 50% off annually ($2.50/TB/mo)
The actual price when ordering from the official website is 3.6.
can you share screenshot?
what do you mean?
$2.5 is USD. You are probably using AUD.
Just like KFC, you can upside your box - BOX-5 -> BOX-8 Storage VPS also 50% off.
same problem, now is right
Does this subscription include a discount that recurs each billing cycle?
I'm using this S3 in SG, which works great, and desiring for a Onidel chick. 🙏
man i wish i wasnt poor
@onidel - any chance of a 500GB storage box for some of us lowenders?
Also, it would be nice to have bandwidth = 2 x Storage size (since you're counting IN+OUT).
$7?
I would like to ask, do you support refunds?
If I purchase the annual subscription for BOX-3, can I later upgrade to BOX-4 or higher at a discounted price?
hi, what's the min. available network speed from object storage in singapore, the test file suggests is 200Mbps !
Nice offers, especially the S3 ones. I am tempted myself! I've opened a ticket with some queries.
I mean, are there any bandwidth limitations for storage VMs?
I recorded a maximum speed of 307 MiB/s during a speed test on the local node in Singapore.
Weirdly specific question...
Refunds are possible in general according to ToS, but promo plans (like the ones in this thread) can only be refunded as account credits.
It is only available within first 7 days from ordering the service and it does not apply to suspensions due to ToS violations.
That's just my interpretation, it needs confirmation from @onidel anyway.
super happy you liked my art!!! might pick up another VM during the sale
Yes, it is.
