  • 3 day Review with their secure cloud storage (nextcloud):

Great pricing, however its a shame that it just keeps crashing or being placed into maintenance mode whenever their system cannot handle the load. Have to manually open a ticket to resolve itself. (Suggestion: maybe they should add an auto restart whenever a crash happens?) Definitely peak lowend performance 11/10, You get what you paid for.

    On another note,

Has anyone had issues with their object storage s3 api's yet?

Are you referring to today’s brief maintenance?
It was planned as part of our preparations for the upcoming 10 Gbps upgrade.

Regarding errors, we encountered a single issue due to high load, which has been resolved. A load balancer has also been implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future.

That and the yesterday one. Just a word of advice, I definitely wouldn't run a maintenance without informing your clients preferrably 48 hours prior. Causes unexpected interruptions, if your aim is trying to reach 99% reliability of course. If not then ignore what I said.

Indeed, future planned maintenance tasks will also be displayed on your dashboard 1–2 weeks in advance.

Yes you can add storage anytime

Is there API Fees for S3 Compatible Object Storage?

No, All fees are mentioned on this post

@systemfreaks can you make double storage available for both Object and Secure Cloud Storage?

That might be another Promo offer later in the season

Hosted nextcloud comes with data encryption or do I have to do that myself? Because I have seen many providers snooping on cx's data.

Files are obfuscated by default when stored on S3 through Nextcloud, and S3 server-side encryption is enabled.
There’s absolutely no risk of snooping — we guarantee that.
However, if you prefer full control, you’re always welcome to self-host your own Nextcloud instance and use our object storage as the primary storage.

How is Nextcloud performance for you with s3 as primary storage and server side encryption enabled?

Its power hungry, but with the right infrastructure planning, including multiple instances behind load balancer with a private network of 25 gbps seems to work well

Currently, we aim for 1 Gbps per client on average on a fair use policy.

Nodes are connected to the load balancers via a 50 Gbps private network (older nodes use 25 Gbps). As the cluster grows, we plan to upgrade client speeds to 10 Gbps, starting with the most popular locations.

Speed will also improve with the introduction of our CDN

Hey there! Thanks for the earlier clarification. Just to double-check:

Is the 1G per-client limit a hard cap, or can it burst higher if the node has spare capacity?

For account owners with multiple clients (e.g., 10 VPS instances), does each instance get its own ~1G, or is there an account-wide 1G pool?

Kinda hyped for the 10G/CDN upgrades! Keep up the awesome work 😎

No 1 Gbps is not a hard limit, if there is availability each download can exceed it, but that doesn't mean that you will see speeds over 1 Gbps at this point.

Limits are set per bucket not per client, so if you have 10 buckets each one has its own limit, there is no account wide pool, but its something we are considering and investigating as a solution for the pay per use buckets

Eventually will be 1 TB, the earliest users get higher benefits :)

At the moment this offer is only for Secure Cloud Storage.

For the object Storage the offer is reflected on the current price :)

For this product, how does it work? Do we get a Nextcloud instance with an admin account? Is it like Hetzner Storage Share?

And for this promo, if you get 1TB, you will always pay for 1TB, but have 2TB, right?

Normal user within managed instance, dedicated nextcloud with admin access like hetzner is coming soon.

And yes you always pay for the initial purchase and have the double space
