I think the DDOS protection is too sensitive, maybe @labze can comment on this.
When I first got it, I noticed the first speed test I do hits 8-9Gbps. Then suddenly I am disconnected. When I reconnect again, speeds are sub 1Gbps and the latency is also increased. On the first day, it would restore pretty fast to normal, but now I think thats not the case.

Spot on. I had only configured part of one subnet for 10 Gbps as I expected this to be enough to accomodate the demand for quite a while. However, all IPs in this subnet was quickly used. I deployed another subnet and raised a ticket to change the mitigation threshold early friday expecting it to be resolved the same day. Unfortunately still waiting for Aurologic to update this.

any news on that topic. the download speed is one 227th (down) and one 68th (up) of the advertised 10000mbps.

    Should be better now

    unfortunately still subterranean values! @labze

Could it be a problem with that specific server or did you also try other test servers (maybe some in Frankfurt)?

    It's definitely getting better:
    Speedtest.net 6913.02 Mbps 2374.40 Mbps 0.40 ms

but I/O is still far behind the first days (was 700MB/s-1.1Gb/s):
    I/O Speed(1st run) : 137 MB/s
    I/O Speed(2nd run) : 179 MB/s
    I/O Speed(3rd run) : 148 MB/s

even after opening a ticket, restarting the server and informing me that the problem has been solved / or that the values should now be better, the network speed is still subterranean! i'm not used to such lousy values from hostbrr @labze.

I am still trying to figure this out. I do not know much you've setup your server, if not a lot then a rebuild might be worth a try. I have tested several servers now and I cannot replicate these low results.

It is taking longer than expected due to the issue not being entirely obvious. But I have gathered much information that got sent to Aurologic two days ago. Awaiting resolution from their side as it is likely something incorrectly configured there.

You should be able to get 1 Gbps no problem. The issue arises if you try and push it further. You can open a ticket so I can limit you to this speed so your connection does not drop then I can remove this once it is resolved.

    Any news from Aurologic?

Funny thing, I haven't noticed any issues with speed, but packet loss is quite persistant since Apr 25 and seems to be getting worse in time, not better. :(

No packetloss on our network, either you have permanent DDoS-Protection on, causing icmp to be ratelimited - you can verify that with a MTR - or there is another real issue ;-)
