I’m surprised no one has mentioned Mint Mobile, probably your best bet

You can get a RedPocket starter pack with 3 separate SIM cards for T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. Walmart and Target sell them in store for ~$5. You can chose your network between the 3.

We have Red Pocket Mobile and Mint Mobile this year, installed in different phones.
Both MVNOs offer both eSIM and physical SIM.
We used Ultra Mobile and Lycamobile in the past.
All these are prepaid and relatively cheap.

If you are passing through Washington DC or Baltimore MD, you can meet me up to do push-ups together.

have you got a look on seeek.co ?
They offer 3GB of free data every month in nearly every country. If you pay $6, you get your eSIM almost instantly.

    Hi,
I would get esims for the phones.

You can compare the plans here:
    https://esimdb.com/
    https://esims.io/

Other than seek.co mentioned by @IHA_User (deployment was not instant for me even though I paid the 6 Euro free) you can also try https://www.firsty.app/ as a backup.

With firsty you get 300Kbit speed with unlimited data, but you have to watch an ad in the firsty app every hour or 100MB of bandwidth used.

you can check visible or boost mobile. they are low cost carriers. boost mobile is not bad in pa.

  • If you download the Visable app you can add an e-sim to your phone from it instantly - it's $20 a month unlimited everything - I think it has a free 3 day trial? To test it before committing

Yep, firsty is pretty good too as a backup. I use them both.

Visible is great for no limit hotspot usage. The price is $25 per month. Though with referral it could be lower for the first month.

Tello is great for lower cost per month if data amount usage is known and not very high. The 5GB data plan along with talk and text is just $14. And free international calls for many countries.

I use Tello as second line on my phone.

Might want to look into Revolut ESIM.

fyi, don't bother with the RedPocket SIM from Target. I got one and it only has the AT&T SIM. You have to contact customer service to have them mail you a different one. Somewhat deceptive packaging. Nothing like a 1 week wait for something in the mail.
