Yes, we will unleash the ticket hell-hound and iform that your service got suspended for x hours because you tried to cpu-unlock the FED'S $$$ reserve.

After that you you will have to do something to lower your CPU usage.

2'nd time, the suspension time is double.

3'rd time we prate ways, as it seems we are not meant for each-other, and the love is broken.

These are storage VPS not high compute offers. vCores are a Xeon V4 not a thread-ripper.

What if the abuser gives you a fancy Tenda router as an act of forgiveness, would that make up for it?

will update this in TOS tomorrow:

As a general rule, not more than 75% average usage in 24 hours. what is beyond that will be considered abuse.

    That is exceptionally generous.

Did you finish the Chinese Tour? And when the dream deal aka “Pre-orders” starts? Thank you dear @host_c

  • Yes, let us preorder so we can stop pressing F5.

  • @Void said:
just type in some random text and check out, worked for me

Aight thanks for the tip! Will do this when the preorder drops

Excuse me, are there any configurations exceeding 5TB? I need 8TB+, preferably a configuration where I can use this discount code.

  • a dog ate my alarm so I over slept, waiting to pre-order then :'(

Noob question. How do you check the CPU load? I use the uptime command, and I understand that if I have 1 core, load average in uptime should not exceed 0.75 for 75% CPU usage limit, and 1.5 if I have 2 cores. Do I understand it correctly?

  • host_chost_c Member, Patron Provider

    @nick_

I personally would use a monitoring app via SNMP, there are a ton out there.

If you run it on any Linux distros, the basic is to use htop. That util can measure the CPU average load in 1-5-15 minute. The rest is you to do the math, simply as that

There are more in-depth ways to monitor but it's not newbie-friendly much like htop so I think that's the best choice for you ;)

Hetrixtools free plan is more than enough for this. Setup resource monitoring to alert you when the usage exceeds the limit. You can also use utilities like cpulimit to force the maximum CPU usage of apps to certain levels.
