Great to see a customer with double RAM and another like me with a problem like "we still have 2 nodes that do not have the patch applied for the IO problem ( as they are scheduled for a larger maintenance also ), unfortunately your VPS is on them, we are migrating your service ( and all others ) right now." Over 24h and still have problem. But Hey, we double RAM for old memory here
I still have all of this (and a floppy tape drive with a dozen tapes) in my pops basement, along with my IBM Aptiva 486 (the 5.25 drive could be used in the place of the CDROM drive if needed).
Not sure if any of this would still work when turned on (except the 3Com HUB, I can vouch for it).
Good times, dialup internet, automatic dial at midnight, linux raid0 with 3 disks with badblocks mapped out...
And I still can't be here to get that vps with 10x the space I need. Would be a good idler. Bummer.
but why do you run windows server os? just install samba if you need a windows file server.

Many reasons …. including RDP that is much much better than VNC
I use xrdp for that, and it's indistinguishable from windows native.
xrdp is nowhere close to RDP
