    I'll bite....

How? How does not showing pictures help client privacy and security? Where is the privacy/security concern in showing pictures of racks of hardware?

You will notice no other datacentre hides what the inside looks like. Most encourage tours.

Appreciate your curiosity! The concern isn't so much about showing the racks themselves but about revealing specific configurations,

Well, then don't show the rear side of the racks.

    security measures,

Well, then keep the camera angle high or low enough to not show entries, barriers, cameras. In fact, I've heard rumors that there exists image editing software that enables you to cut or blur away or pixelate or ... sensitive details.
Btw. do not worry about things which are visible from the outside like e.g. security gates, because, well, they are visible to anyone who cares anyway.

and operational details that could be pieced together to compromise security.

Like what? Also: well, then simply have no techie e.g. link up his notebook to a server while you're shooting photos.

Also: good news! Nowadays pretty much all configuration is done via software! So, just don't shoot pictures of your techie's screen.

Thanks for engaging and challenging us on this. It helps us refine our approach.

Stop that "polite" blabla BS already! Or we'll give you more "engaging and challenging" than you could dream in a nightmare!

I think we are dealing with a mix here of italian, clueless, basement, "fake it till you make it", rich kid, 16 year old, show off.

Single-homed cogent providers should be avoided anyway, that is what it should have been advertised as from the beginning.

  • They're holding off for now as usual and just stalling for time. They must be busy cleaning up the place to make it look like a real Data Center :)

Hire a professional movie set designer. They can make it look like a data center located on any location even on North Pole or remote island close to Sicily Italy.

  • There is a video of an actual professional looking datacenter in Pomezia on youtube.
This is the only one I could find.

The building c1v (Cynthia = his mom?) is registered at also has a business registration of a hardware distributor.

Plus given the recent Italian internet wall/filter, I would not host in this country anymore anyway.
Even Airvpn does not serve Italian clients anymore.

  • When I see providers bullying and attacking customers instead of apologizing for the problems, they are immediately put on my DO NOT BUY list. They put it all right here for me to see with my own eyes. Unfortunately nearly all of the providers here are low life for life. I can't count how many providers on this forum have taken my money and not provided working services, or services as advertised or deceive or lie to customers.

    No. Above ground garage.

@c1vhosting Why would deciding how to take pictures/video need literal months? I have nothing against you personally but this very much gives the impression you are playing for time, delaying until people lose interest, which i feel would be quite a shitty attitude.

Neither working out a concept nor taking pictures takes a ton of time. Actually both could be done over the course of a lazy evening, so if you actually wanted you could produce these pictures by the end of the week, not sometime the coming months...

Suddenly it struck me: it's just observing this specimen with it's natural behaviour. When you have comments on the uptime: "wait until the end of next month". When there are comments about the network connectivity: "wait until the end of next month". When you want pictures of the datacenter ... well, you've got the idea (not the pictures, they will never come. Just like the improvements promised, or the extra periods in time that were promised after downtime.

Yes? In the previous pages in this thread...?

open a ticket! if you know how to

Even if you know and you follow the procedure, you won't get a reply. Because it's always that he hasn't received a mail and that's your fault. Even when you can prove that mail has been delivered by logs...

Also, in case you get an answer, it's either never an answer to the question or the answer is "wait for another month, it will improve".

Please contact us ASAP to handle this.
We are here to help you.

Why I have to post here to get it resolved?

The cancellation email was sent on March 5th and you felt not important enough to acknowledge.

About the double payment, yes it was a mistake on my side , but you did not act like any reputed vendor would.

    Who have you contacted?
Edit: I see the cancellation was successfully done (planned for the end of the billing as per your request), so why are you saying we haven’t took care of it or haven’t given importance?

Did you sent any email acknowledgment back for the cancellation update?

How would I know any status update?

@c1vhosting never responded to my straight questions.

His lack of professionalism and inconsistent network speed are the main reasons to cancel service for physical dedicated server.

Yeah, that's for over 9 hours now. Probably mom was to bed early. But hey, it's Italy's premier datacenter with clients that need lots of privacy/security, so who expect 24/7 hands on site.

Curious what the excuse is now. We already had "fiber cut", "power issues", "DDoS attacks". Now a core router issue maybe? Hope that TP Link support will answer soon...

Anyway - C1VHosting didn't disappoint in living up to the expectations of network outages - it has been a whole week since the last one...
