  • Long time no see PHP-Friends special offers...

    I see, this page says:

Bis zu diesem Wert können Sie Ihre dedizierte 1 GBit/s-Netzwerkkarte voll ausnutzen.

At the same time, it's a bit odd that they don't say this in the descriptions of the servers:

    https://php-friends.de/vserver-ssd

@PHP_Friends Can you comment on this ?

They said (which is also confirmed by benchmarks), that it is 1 Gbit/s guaranteered (dedicated may be misleading) and 10Gbit/s burst. (See https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3461557#Comment_3461557)
The new servers than may be the same except for the lower hardware connectivity?
    Could @PHP_Friends clarify that?

Avaro.eu are already the new package. Am I right ? @PHP_Friends

Yes, that's the one I use.
But I'd also like to be able to buy them cheaper on php friends with an annual contract.
    That's what I'm looking for :)

Avoro and PHP-Friends are same company, so just open a ticket and ask them.

Avoro is their new line-up. Its coming to PHP-Friends with contracts. It's not there yet.

How can they trick customers by hiding a (good) feature?

And @PHP_Friends, according to https://bgp.he.net/AS58212#_peers you have only 2 IPv4 peers? If I remember correctly (which doesn't have to be the case) it were more in the past?

    Hi,

We will answer your questions shortly, we are still waiting for the developers. Basically, 1 GBit/s is always available.

We have significantly more than 2 IPv4 peers.

Yes, but somehow I see much higher latencies. From a strato server where I had previously (2 weeks ago) <5ms ping to a server hosted by you, I now have >60ms ping, and from home I previously had ~30ms ping and now ~50ms ping. Did something change?

And I have one last question: Are the CPUs in the new servers the same, because previously it was "AMD EPYC 7452" specified, now only "AMD EPYC".

We are currently rebuilding PHP-Friends, the same products will also be offered there, but we still have to publish an update for our control panel, please note, however, that the products at PHP-Friends are always associated with a contract and a notice period for cancellations, therefore usually cheaper than the counterpart at Avoro as a prepaid server.

    Already excited. Any ETA?

    Yes, probably January

Sorry for the bump, but is there any progress/news regarding this?

Could you redo the YABS? I would be interested whether these insane speeds remain or if the node simply was empty.
