I promise you, we've checked every inch of the building.... all the spooks left in the 1990's!
Also, all the network (including the fibre laid to the building) is new.
Interested but waiting for panel to manage the server
What specific function do you need? All servers come with ssh pre-enabled!
Chill mate, I was joking
Good luck with your business.
Me too!
(btw, I checked out LES because of the link in your sig)
It's just that it's going to be a server for fun, not for production.
So I'll probably reinstall it regularly to test linux distributions.
Screw things up with promox.
In short, I don't want to depend on support to reinstall my server, put in custom isos and so on...
But otherwise I like the location.
Proxmox is an easy way to fix this.
Edit: Missed the part you already mentioned Proxmox lol.
You are going to struggle to do this with any dedi unless it comes with some kind of OOB access (eg HP iLO, Dell DRAC, etc). For a VPS, sure, but dedi is exactly that ie a real server dedicated to you.
Alternatively as @SirFoxy says, install Proxmox (or other virtualisation system... I prefer Xen/XCP) and run your test OS's as VM's. That way you have full control.
I'm used to OVH dedicated servers.
And they offer all the tools to do this.
But thanks for the clarification. I'll think about it.
Anyway, great offer.
@ecomuk When you're able to, can you have sales reply to my emails again. I had some questions about billing, and cost for stuff. I should have asked before I sent servers, but too late, they're on the way now.
@ecomuk Are you guys on holiday vacation?
No, we're here, but still in holiday mode. Back to normal on Monday. We've had a few deliveries for you.
Don't worry me like that!
See, you've got good news! You know, for the Europeans, next Mondy is the first working day of the new year.
@ecomuk Is the colocation offer still running? Sent a couple of emails but no response - keen to get signed up!
Please email sales at ecomltd.co.uk if you have not already.
Can you respond to me @ecomuk
I believe someone responded to your ticket within 3 minutes.
Great to see this! I remember a tour around this place several years ago from Chris, I think where I was working at the time were either the first or second customer hosted here when it was still a work in progress. Support from eCom has always been fantastic!
Maybe, but sales team is kinda non-existing.
I and friend of mine are waiting reply for 3 or 2 months already, which kinda sucks.
Seems like they answer randomly.
can anyone share their experience with this company?
I'm still waiting for set up and testing for what I sent.
Chris and his technicians had to assemble and improvise, though, since I sent everything in pieces. Support has been slow, but accommodating.
Order by email... kinda old school
They replied to my first email but not subsequent ones. Kind of a shame
I'm also interested in feedback
Would you allow me to put in something like:

I mean you said unlimited power didn't you
Just kidding, I could never afford such a server, tho Colo is extremely cheap; what would be the cost for additional IPv4s?
>
Yes there response is slow..may be overwhelmed with support or they may not have enough staff . The price quoted to me for a single colo is also not cheap, so not an attractive option with such kind of support.
I imagine that the prices you were offered are very different from those in this thread?
Because I was considering the offer.
It could mostly be a bait and switch. Colo is too cheap. There you go~~~
I got this notice from Companies House this morning.
More info: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/07952822
It's been a month since the last response I received from them (Chris) via the support desk. And my colo server is still not set up, now they are in liquidation.
