Anyone who sells dedicated servers at any reasonable scale can easily automate bare metal auto provisioning. In most cases where the provider is clearly offering older hardware, it shouldn't take more than a few minutes for a tech to verify everything is kosher and then let the system do the rest. Maybe 30 minutes if they have to swap drives or memory.
In my case, I ordered a dedicated server from colocrossing on 11/22. By end of day the device showed up in the portal and I was able to power it on/off, see port bandwidth charts, etc - but now almost 6 days after I ordered, it's still "pending", has no public IP address, and can't be reinstalled because nothing else is configured.
I have purchased the https://portal.colocrossing.com/register/order/service/445. But the status remains pending for 12 hours, is that alright?

For the $99 a year LA region server, as we know, it has a traffic limit of 10TB per month. I would like to know if this traffic is exceeded will it just disconnect or it will keep running but need to pay more or can we request for more traffic for free?
