  • Do you have any plan on offering NAT VPS?
    Same price with larger disk and shared IPv4 or possible IPv6?

    Well it seems like it's getting DDoSed right now. My VM was rock solid before.

  • In cart > zone, choose First Available.
    so what if I do not choose Buffalo/NY? Will I get another location?

    yes, 2092 they will add ipv6 and strat with providing NAT, try @Cam he provides excellent service

  • Here is YABS for 10 USD/y server.

    TL;DR

    Initial impression for VPS performance - it is subpar. But way more responsive than those instances with limevawe. And a lot cheaper. I guess this is a premature gem of BF. Value received is insane. Grab this while you can, because no provider will top this of while offering substantial stock, no manual verifications and good old PayPal.

    Detailed observation:

    • Abysmal RX from Europe. 1 Gbps shared line should squeeze more than 709 Kbits/sec. This is @FlorinMarian league speed;
    • Disk I/O capped up to ~75MB/s. Probably not the deal braker for 98% of clientele;
    • Inability to upgrade these VPSs. There is no option for upgrade;
    • Nodes filling up quickly and overall performance degrade fast (disk/CPU);
    • That nasty X near IPv6 in YABS. Just sad, not a deal braker;
    • Unable to set rDNS for IP;
    • Their WHMCS mailing still does not work, I did not receive any email regarding answered ticket. Not a deal braker as I can login to the client area.

    Overall, @ColoCrossing you did it, my colon was crossed. A very shitty start, but you delivered. The most important message here:

    10 USD/y with 1c/1g/20gb/1gbps is doable

    despite others blabbering "IP price alone does not covered and electricity bill...". You just received peenus in your mouth from colocrossing.

    The bar for Black Friday madness is set. Right here. I will idle this little bastard with proud and joy.

    They seem to be DDoSing their network as I was able to get way better results than this, but yeah, as of right now, it's barely usable (lots of packet loss)

    • Unable to set rDNS for IP;

    My IP has a weird PTR record set since I got it, and asked via ticket to change it and it's "on progress" but they asked me which one I wanted so I guess it's going to get changed eventually? (it's been less than 24h though)

    • Their WHMCS mailing still does not work, I did not receive any email regarding answered ticket. Not a deal braker as I can login to the client area.

    I do get emails about tickets status & responses. But didn't get any about registration/VPS setup/invoices.

    EDIT: Kuma SS (I did recenly purge stats though)

    Here is YABS for 10 USD/y server.

    • Abysmal RX from Europe. 1 Gbps shared line should squeeze more than 709 Kbits/sec. This is @FlorinMarian league speed;
    • Disk I/O capped up to ~75MB/s. Probably not the deal braker for 98% of clientele;
    • Inability to upgrade these VPSs. There is no option for upgrade;
    • Nodes filling up quickly and overall performance degrade fast (disk/CPU);
    • That nasty X near IPv6 in YABS. Just sad, not a deal braker;
    • Unable to set rDNS for IP;

    I'm not actually too sure the poor recv speeds are entirely ColoCrossing's fault, as I'm also getting really slow speeds even just running YABS locally.

    Action Failed The VPS failed to start

    My problem has been solved. I use it very well at present. It is hoped that there will be activities in other regions and allow existing servers to be migrated.

    I also want to know this. I heard that someone has been suspended.

    Perhaps rDNS can be set via a ticket?

    (Yes, it would be better if rDNS could be set via the panel directly, but if it can be set via a ticket, this is still better than if it couldn't be set at all)

  • Just wondering, as a question for anyone who has ordered already: how clean is the IP address?

    AUP is insane lmao

    I have no read it. Anything in particular?

    No. Its very basic and even permissive compared to what other providers have listed in their AUP. Crypto mining and irc for example are both not even mentioned. Neither is port scanning so almost every blackhat activity other than warez and phising and malware and ddos is seemingly allowed. You can even run tor exit node or an open proxy.

    Ah ok thats really good then lol. Also just ordered a service from them and every single one of their emails went into spam so make sure you guys check ur spam inbox if you can't find login details!

    Yeah, their network is known for lax abuse policy, so the AUP is naturally also very lax lol.

    Proof? Their AUP is absolutely abysmal. I'm searching for a collocation provider and want to make sure I'm not going to get shafted because someone said the hurty words.

    You can read it yourself and paste it here entirely and we can all go through each lines and what they mean exactly in the said context.

    The AUP is good for questionable hosting, but if you want to host hate sites, I suggest you use @Francisco @MannDude or some other freedom of speech providers. However they wont allow even half of the abuse you can do with colocrossing.

    You can find their AUP at the bottom of their website. Yes, I am interested in allowing people to speak freely with as limited restrictions as would fit for our community. Obviously nothing illegal, and I'm not interested in providing a platform similar to Documenting Reality or Best Gore, but video streaming and microblogging, yes.

    If Colocrossing does not enforce these terms as stringently as they have laid them out, that's cool and everything, but they will enforce them if they got enough heat from "the powers that be", otherwise why would they lay them out in the first place?

  • $15 $20 $24Why are they all redirected?

  • Is the server offline?
